Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook Wrapping Up

oh noooo I was just watching Itzy's performance recently and thinking how much I always love a Sketchbook stage. They always have cool live band versions or remixes that I don't always get to see. Is there another show like this that can take their place? I remember really liking that Jyp talk show he had that used to have performances also. Sad that show is gone too tho.

Wow, that's a real shame it's ending. It's one of the best-produced music programs.

Why is it ending?

When KBS used to upload full episodes on YouTube it was my favorite program. This is sad.

Noooo .. so sad to hear this, the end of a superb music programme! Always looked forward to Hwang Chi Yeul's appearances on this show (his first was in 2017) .. this particular clip is interesting, when YHY ( a great host) asked HCY about the famous singers he could mimic, such as Im Jae Bum, Kim Dong Ryul, Cho Yong Pil, Ha Dong Qn, Park Hyo Shin etc:

Ah you're talking about Party People. I quite enjoyed that show as well, so it's a shame that it only lasted one season. My favourite episode featured Sunmi covering songs by Kim Wan-sun.

there's so many great sketchbook performances but apparently there were shows similar to sketchbook before Yoo Hee Yeol was the host so here's hoping there's more after the cancellation as well

KBS should ask IU to do 'Palette' on broadcast+ existing YouTube Channel.

Though doing it every week will be tough, with her still active in singing and acting,

She probably is the best placed, given her long association and deep networks in the industry and since she has been already doing Palette.

They should at least try it out.

But then the question is whether they can afford her.

Still Gaon rebranding and now YHY Sketchbook ending,

Both are so strongly associated with IU, that it does feel kind of momentous, even if they continue under other names and other people.

Probably not since she would have other commitment. Plus she has not forgotten about Laboum.

Also she would be uncomfortable with older musicians who were following a different line of music from her.

Someone at least 40 years old should be running the show, in my opinion, although she is over 40 (1,340).
