TWICE, MAMAMOO, and Red Velvet top girl group Melon total streams ranking!

Should compare the songs also that would be interesting.
-
Wow Twice are way further ahead than I thought, esp since streaming has been growing year-on-year in Korea and being honest it's been a couple of years since they were dropping their bigger hits.
But still this isn't really close.

good list

Twice has the largest discography of all the groups by a large margin so it makes sense that their streaming totals are higher.

Nearly half of Twice disog is Japanese songs(some just localized Korean songs) with barely any streams on them.

Can we have the stream average relative to the number of songs? I think that'd be interesting to see.
TWICE #1 not surprising. They've been having back to back hits from 2015-2018 + fans checking out the bsides might help too.
Amazing how BP are up there as well with such a small discography.
SNSD/2NE1 up there actually surprised me because their peak wasn't during the streaming age. I think streaming only really picked up traction there in 2012-2013 when both groups were past their peak.

that I don't have
also I'm not sure if source missed Apink, or are girls really out of top 10,
as for MelOn itself, it was launched in 2004, and in last few years Melon is losing users, and market share.
So this kind of works both sides I guess?

Twice has released 115 original songs, 1 official cover and 1 official remake. Of their 115 original songs, 74 are sung in primarily Korean, 21 are sung primarily in Japanese, 1 is sung in English, 18 are available in both primarily Korean and primarily Japanese, and 1 is available in both primarily Korean, primarily Japanese and English.

Congrats Twice

Yeah and on Melon they have like 220 listings so it shows aboit half arent even actual songs but dupes, instrumentals, localized, etc.
And having around 75 Korean songs Im sure isnt 'way' more than those others on the list, in faxt they arent even the group with the most songs up there.
Never mind this large margin. Esp when some of those groups Melon include OSTs and what not.
Groups like MMM, RV, GF having similar number of Korean songs but a year more head start too and SNSD and 2NE1 having like 5 to 8 years head start on Twice too and still being far far behind.
And those with lower discogs are well behind too so its not exactly close.
I mean you guys need to pick a struggle, one day yall are saying 'a million b sides no one listen to or barely chart' and the next day you guys are using those same spngs that 'dpnt chart' s a reason to say 'no wonder they're way ahead'...
