Display MoreAnd it was WORTH IT! So, I'm home this week sick and in quarantine and I don't even care cuz they were AMAZING. Monsta X gives an incredible live show!
The show was approximately 2.5 hours and included 25 songs plus some time for member comments and vhs. The show focused on their most recent releases unsurprisingly since they've released A LOT since this concert was initially postponed from 2020. I loved being able to see great songs like Gambler, Love Killa, One Day, Find You, and Rush Hour live and of course, their awesome latest TT, Love plus several of my favorite bsides like Mercy and And. I wished that I could have been able to see some of my faves among their older songs, but they have so many songs now that would take many hours. I was satisfied with at least getting Dramarama which I adored. They also took time to give each member a solo stage. Hyungwon did a solo rendition of Wildfire, which is a song that he composed. I loved that he got this chance to shine and his performance was captivating with gorgeous choreo. Minhyuk was so charismatic doing Ongshimi. He's a born showman. I.M did not disappoint with Goddamn and Happy to D1e. The crowd ate it up. Jooheon gave a really emotional performance of Smoky and then transitioned into a beast to take over the stage for Voices. My favorite though was Kihyun singing Rain. All he needs to do is stand there and sing. His voice is incredible. The finale of the concert was an absolutely electric three song set of Beastmode, Zone, and Fallin'. I could not stop jumping and dancing. MX was firing on all cylinders for that. The encore was a strong Stand Together and then an emotional Love You. Maybe cuz it was the last stop on the tour, but the members seemed to be in their feels, particularly Jooheon who told us to remember that in kpop there is Monsta X and monbebe and even outside of kpop, in music in general, there is Monsta X and monbebe and I don't know exactly what he was talking about but it kinda gave me anxiety especially cuz Jooheon, Minhyuk, and I.M have not renewed their contracts yet.

Just saw this. Sad to hear you caught COVID, but you seem to be in amazing spirits and that will do wonders for recovery. You came home with lots of "gifts" lol

lol, i would, but people might think it was inappropriate. All I can say is that since my symptoms are basically the flu, I personally would not hesitate to do it all over again. This is worth it to have had such an amazing experience!
Thank you! And how could I not be in amazing spirits when I got to see such an incredible group doing what they do best?!?! I wish everyone could get a chance to see their faves in concert. It was an awesome experience that I will cherish forever (especially if they choose not to renew and this ends up being their last performance as Monsta X...)
Thanks Jenn! I did have an amazing time! And yeah, energetic doesn't even cover it. My goodness, I can't believe how electric they are on stage. I got tired just standing there and they were dancing full out and running around and singing their lungs out. I bet their cardio endurance is up there with elite athletes. And somehow they all managed to look absolutely gorgeous while doing it. It's inhuman, I swear! I do hope they all renew (although I'm really not hopeful considering how long it's been now, I'm assuming they were just waiting until after the tour to make the sad announcements). I do hope that even if three of them sign with other agencies though, maybe they will still stay together anyway. GOT7 has given me hope that if a group really wants to be together, they can make things work no matter what!

I would have loved to see them myself! They have an amazing discography and I've always liked them. As you said, if GOT7 can do it, surely, they can! And being out of the group may give them the freedom to do something they really want to do and really put their hearts out there, and maybe still do group activities at the same time. I really hope it's not the end of Monsta X and if they don't renew that they can still promote together with the name and not have to change it like beast did because cube's a dick lol

i feel like their company may hold them back from certain collabs so if joohoney goes out there to collab with whom he wants I feel like he'd make something amazing! i really love his flow! IM's as well. We will just have to keep on our toes and wait to see what happens now!

Yes, when I manage to be awake, I'm in a good mood lol. I'm thankful that I'm vaccinated and that omicron generally gives less severe symptoms than the earlier versions.
