I don't get it. Sure they were technically trespassing, but they were already there... It's obvious what was happening, just wait until it's done?
I'm a bit of a Disney-fanatic and cast members (this is what they call park employees) are known for their impeccable way of treating the customer. This situation could have been handled so much better and it seems Disney agrees with me. However, I don't think the cast member deserves to be shamed per se. Disney provides training for its cast members and I think extra training is all that's needed here.
but to cut in and grab it, hell if he walked up to them and stunk face them and told them to move repeatedly without touching their stuff I imagine this wouldn't have even blown up
yeah that was not a good move, but he might have already tried talking to them or something. idk i'm biased i'll almost always give a pass to people working in the public unless grossly inappropriate.

Yes, I saw the OP who filmed the video posted on reddit that they received permission from the employees to do it. ETA: And watching the video again, you can see the man trying to explain that to the staff who just shakes his head and says something like "yes, but you can do it over here, it'll be even better."
The employee who ran through to take the ring out of the dude's hand (!!) seemed to get a kick out of ruining their moment. Big "hall monitor" energy.
Saw a Tiktok video explaining the situation a bit deeper today.
Apparently the stage they were on is strictly no guests allowed and is used for shows and performances, and is lined with expensive and potentially dangerous pyrotechnics stuff. It was also fast approaching show time.
I can kind of see why the employee did it and did it publicly like that. You let one couple get away with getting onto staff only areas to make a spectacle, and everyone will want to. Set an example once.
