In second gen, it happened on occasion that groups would move their comebacks to avoid coming back at the same time as a much larger group. (I remember the "oh my how bold" reactions Secret got for not moving their Love is Move comeback when SNSD was announced to drop The Boys at the same time.)

But these days, there are too many groups that, even if you wanted to avoid all the big players, you couldn't. And these companies manage more than just one bg and one gg and are trying to structure their schedules so at least they aren't cannibalizing their own sales.
