but atleast we having dance challenge every single week
let’s talk about how TikTok ruined kpop choreography…
-
-
it's still better than random people lip-syncing to some songs
and thinking they are stars lol
-
-
I wouldn't say it's ruining choreography, but it's annoying to see kpop dances on insta every single time I open the damn app!
-
when companies prioritize "simple moves so every fan can make a tiktok challenge" especially when the beat is damn heavy and when it comes to performing on stage it looks like sh

i don't see how people say that tiktok ruined choreos. Kpop songs always have easy and catchy dance moves. Also called point dance. You can see in music shows they will be asked to show the point dance. The only thing tiktok ruined is that idols making 100s of videos doing the same dance moves with every other idol. Someone tell them it doesn't help at all.

but tiktok make the song goes viral and make that kpop song more popular !!

You know, it's funny how in 4th Gen tiktok help to popularise dance moves, but when we think about it 2nd Gen without tik Tok or social media (less of it) have even more iconic point dance moves

tbf tiktok dance challenges have given us a lot of interactions between members of different groups that we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise

Sometimes I think this too but I think overall it’s not really true. Point moves have been easier aspects of the choreo for as long as I’ve been watching Kpop insomuch that there is an instantly recognizable move that everyone knows and does.
Just think about those instantly recognizable and easy to do point moves on Sorry Sorry or that shoulder shake down and kick on View. Those were ready for TikTok before TikTok.
Like I was posting Sticker today as an example of great choreo. There is a point move - the sticker hands - that is clearly meant to be TikTokable and manageable for fans, but the rest of that choreo is complex, intricate and beautiful at points.

Tiktok ruined everything

Kpop has always been about dance trends lol it’s more like a popular platform just for dance trends that emerged late. Not kpop.

IMO TikTok has given birth to many popular things we see nowadays. I agree that it’s definitely better than a random lipsinging video that makes no sense. Actually, I love TikTok cause it’s made my small restaurant the most popular one in the city. We just bought some likes on https://fanhype.de/tiktok-likes-kaufen/ in the beginning, and then we noticed we had more and more guests. Though TikTok is a time killer, and we should use it wisely, it can be a great marketing tool. In short, the dose makes the poison, guys.
