nah
I did teach at Uni
They were mostly really dumb and unmotivated and they were just there bc their parents told to be
Yep! I teach uni right now, and this sums it up. I had a girl not too long ago whose mind was blown when she discovered Africa is a real continent. She thought it was made up. What are they teaching in K-12 that a college freshman didn't know Africa was real?!

I don't think you need to go to college to be smart.
some people pick up on things faster and it's always amazing at how smart people CAN be.
I went to college for a year for medica billing and coding and i don't remember shit, but in college i was learning icd-9 and once i graduated they went into icd-10 and no one wanted to train us on icd-10 i would have had to go BACK into college to learn and i was like nah i don't' want this career.
i think as you go up in life and learn things you become smarter, situations also develop a person, and things you experience. College is just a good way to expand your knowledge and get fancy papers for specific fields and careers.

to elaborate, i think there is a difference between being academically smart and generally intelligent. i went to uni for 5 years and i have an engineer degree but i have known many dumbasses in my time at uni and one of my colleagues, who is also an engineer, is one of the biggest dumbasses i have ever known. he once told our cleaning lady that she must not please her abusive husband enough when she complained to us about his stealing her money and abusing her emotionally. i was like this fucking bitch

one of the best things about wfh is i don't have to see his face again

I just assume that they partied quite a bit!

No, I seriously have fellow students in my degree that don't know what communism is and they graduated from high school with great grades. They were teacher pets and can learn something for a short amount of time and forget it after that.
Depending on the degree you don't have to be necessarily smart, you have to be talented in some degrees like art or have to have the same opinion as your professor like in Philosophy or Politics (from what I heard) and in my business degree some are really stupid at business related things but because my degree is full of statistics and other math stuff (so that not that many get the diploma), they are doing well
