    Why are they so lovely :holding-back-tears:? Each and everyone of them :pepe-sad: .

    Personally, i wanted to write a bit about Minji. Why i love her so much. Well i love how blunt and direct she can be lol. It cracks me up all the time :pepe-hehe: . Maybe a T thing idk. She can be so ruthless and unapologetic lol.


    Also she is so smart and you can just feel her force. She has such a dual charm to her. This sweet, lovely, innocent smiley face and this innate strengh, résilience and determination. She is SUCH an harworking little lady. It's truly remarkable. She is like the rock of NJs, a dependable person upon which the member can rely on :teddy-pepe: .


    And she is son funny, I agree she is a moodmaker. She's a whole vibe man!


    And when you look at her, you can just feel and see how special she is. Nobody feels lile Minji. She just grabs your heart man. Even her eyes, nose, lips, her beauty is so unique. I've never seen someone like her.


    I love you Minji, you are the true leader of NewJeans :iloveyoub: .

    I strongly disagree with focusing on visuals first and foremost; that shouldn't really be a factor when the main premise was about music in the first place.


    I actually think they have a connection to K-pop, as they promote the way K-pop groups do. Different people will have their own definition for what constitutes K-pop, but I consider them K-pop. They don't have to be Korean or speak the language. Sonically, the majority of K-pop is heavily influenced by music outside South Korea anyway.

    I actually talked about everything. Visuals, vocals, star facor, music and art direction. Kpop and not kpop.


    Because honestly, kpop is ALSO about visuals and aesthetics. It's not just 'music'.


    I took all those factors in when i made my analysis of this group in my first comment. So...


    Also i haven't heard them sing one words in korean yet, so it's really hard to say they're a 'kpop' group. But most importantly, beyong technicalities, they don’t FEEL as one.


    They just look like another 5th harmony/little minx typa group :wellr:.

    Actually after the live they're probably more scared of mistreating or bullying NJs. Because they will speak out! The fear has switched sides which is very GOOD.

    Most NJs members are +8/9 minimum (and by asian standarts they're all 10s btw) but the only 8+ member in kat is Manon and the others are just a bunch of mid 6s.


    Anyway. That's just one bad factor amongst another.


    The main one being that they have NO personality or identiy whatsoever as a group or musically. Another hybe major issue.


    And honestly i see no connection with kpop at all. Just another botched little minx or whatever typa deal.

    they're a mid group. nobody has any star factor except Manon and Daniela. the others are boring af. and most of them are just a bunch of 6s.


    That's a major issue within hybe ggs. They have one or two good or really good members (Iroha/Minju, Chaewon/Sakura, Manon/Danielle) but the majority of them are either out of place, tone deaf or just mid AF with no star factor bunch of dozens. So it ruins the harmony, the coherence and the quality of the whole group.


    I reckon they're talented tho (but no one's voice really stands out), and in isolation it's almost irrelevent.


    also touch sounds more like a 50 50 song. not really a njs song. njs sound is more sophisticate, more fresh and more hip overall.


    katseye's music sounds like it's coming from the 2000s and NOT in a fresh way. and im not gonna comment on their styling and art direction... it's atrocious and just CHEAP.

  • Magnetic VS Supernova

    Supernova is a much better song. Clearly.


    Magnetic has some good elements like that dreamy melodie in the intro and other things (the uk garage stuff etc) but the whole song overall is really lacking and very poorly vocally exucuted, and in a way that comes of as very annoying, flavorless and soulless. It also sounds whiny and even lame at times, like the way wonhee said 'coool' or whatver :facepalm: . Ugg...


    It's a song that had potential but in the end it's just forgetable and unimpactful and the repetitivness just gets on your nerve at some point.


    A skip for me.
