Well I did see a couple of teasers of the new sm bg and I thought wow this is the most bland BG I've ever seen in my life.

But apparently they're charting in melon? Super shocking..

IVE is soo random. I mean good music doesn't always mean success look at groups like everglow, true they had an izone member but that didn't guarantee success for the other izone acts.. anyway some more will come to mind.

There really was no shocker over Mamamoo's loss of momentum, given the timing of the pandemic, the confusion over Wheein's contract situation and the big drop off in their full group releases, and it all happened when the 4th generation exploded in popularity.

But it's really not surprising. Even with BlackPink. Mamamoo will be a 10 year old group this year. BlackPink will be an 8 year old group. Every artist will decline from their peak eventually; even the biggest acts.

Sorrryyy lol it was a surprise to me because they just were on top of a while then just felt like they stopped trying not sure what happened.

Their solos are still pretty successful tho right.

I would say some groups died within their own gen. Like stayc idk much about BG's but is ateez still big idk.

The Album promotional cycle was MUCH better + collabs did pulled extra attention to them.

I just think in comparison their new album and singles were just a non event compared to the past.

I clicked Lulu_Key thread thinking that was this thread so imma make it instead.

Another year passes the older you get the more boring it gets but I do this each year and never end up doing any of them.

So have to repeat the cycle, mine is I aim to be a better person, all around.

I would say itzy but let's be honest we all saw that coming.

I haven't been keeping up a whole lot with K-pop. But I never thought that mamamoo would decline as steeply and as fast as they did.

And it's not exactly a downfall because they're still number 1, but the decline in blackpink also took me by surprise a bit. I don't think even if they comeback it's going to be all that hype.
