Wonyoung isn't exactly like that. That's more of the way jealous ppl perceive her to be. Wonyoung has always shown to be respectful and she always gets lots of compliments from her staff for her behavior. She definitely bows to others as well and it's the company that choses to capitalize on her popularity by keeping her in the center.

What Wonyoung is though (and this part I definitely agree with you) is unapologetically herself. She is pretty, she is confident, she is the center and she will never apologize for any of those things. She's not responsible for anyone's bitterness or insecurities and if they want to lash out at her for it that's on them.

Wonyoung has always been popular overseas. When it came to searches she ranked in the top 5 in both the U.S and Japan.

This is giving obsession. There is no "lesson" to be learned here, just jobless behavior. Not all songs are going to perform 100% the exact same. Kitsch fell short some of IVE's previous title tracks in some areas, but also showed improvements as well. All the while keep in mind that this isn't even the main title track on the album, it's just a b side and IVE hasn't even begun actual promotions yet. And here you are bringing up ULs as if IVE Kistch isn't sitting pretty at #1 on Melon with over 300k ULs. Overall, it seems like you guys are just crying over nothing. Normally, it's the fans of the groups that show concern over charting, but not even Dives are showing any signs of concerns over these minute differences in performance.

Why is anyone surprised? Isn't it general knowledge that BTS have never been good at singing? HYBE is infamous for their heavy autotune in all their songs. BTS were originally a rap focused group and honestly should have stuck along those lines because that's what they excelled at.

The way I understand it, and this isn't based on Kpop, but the West:

A single is a digital track that isn't from an album. For example, Rihanna has not dropped an an album but recently for the Black Panther 2 movie she did release a Single "Life Me Up". The meaning itself is in the word "Single" meaning it's a stand alone track.

A pre-release Single, on the other hand, is a b side that is apart of an album but is being released as a stand alone track in anticipation for the actual album. This is very common in the West where they will often release 2-3 pre-release singles with MVs and full promotion and everything all for one album.

tldr: there is overlap

Seriously, this is what they are clutching their peals about? Kitsch isn't even the main title track but it's doing roughly the same as IVE's actual title tracks as well as the fact it's already got 2 RAKs on the charts.

idk why ppl talking as if Kakao or SM is in trouble. Stock prices go up and they go down. That's how stocks work. No one expected SM stocks to maintain that high because it only rose to be that much due to the fight between HYBE and Kakao. Now that it's over, it's a given the stocks are going to go back down to what it was before or maybe even a bit lower. For those with money, right now is actually a good time to buy SM stock because once Kakao settles everything and gets the ball rolling, in a year or two the price of the stock will increase again.

Exo has been gone for so long many ppl seem to have bad memory and forget that they were the original leaders of the third generation.

4th Gen It girl is Wonyoung, end of story. Being it girl is more than just getting CFs you have to actually have the individual brand recognition and power. Wonyoung alone can carry herself outside of her group and her name actually has an effect. She doesn't just get CFs because of her company connections or because of the group she is in. Anything she is in always trends for good or for bad. Just look at her number of hashtags with her name on it on tiktok and compare it to any other female idol right now, not to mention when you look at Korea, her ads are literally everywhere. I don't see any other 4th gen female idol with as much influence as her.

I don't follower either but it's true I've seen more articles and news about Jimin being successful but when it comes to Kai I see far more engagement online, especially sruff like the tiktok with Momo. Seems more like only Armys and Jimin fans are interested in Jimin with little to no general public interest outside their fandom.

have you seen the POC that Hollywood tends to high light? No offense, but people in the West don't even know what attractive POC actually look like. They always manage to select the finest or at least above average white ppl for roles in shows and movies then always select POC who wouldn't even be considered all that attractive among their own race. I've notice this most recently with black (and I'm not talking about those light skin or half black girls they always try to cast) and Asian celebrities.

So honestly, I wouldn't take the Western standard for POC seriously at all because they don't know shit.

As for all the idols you named just give them the typical baddie Western style make up and they'd hardly know the difference. Tzuyu especially I think would suit this style as her current makeup style hasn't been all that flattering on her. It's like they are still trying to chase that youthful look from hr younger years when she's outgrown that kind of innocent look. Give her some arched brows and some kylie jenner lips and she'd sell tf off.
