We recently saw the emergenced of Ive-Le-Jeans: with IVE and New Jeans as top 2 with Lesserafim taking up the third position. But that was before Aespa had their comeback. Now that Aespa has come back, do you think it should be changed to New-Ae-Ive?

Or perhaps G-ive-Jeans? And yeah, while I don't consider G-idle 4th gen, I'll let them slide this time because they are directly competing with all these other 4th gen groups.

She is a good singer, probably would be one of the better choices for idol singers. But the thing is, even though this movie has a lot of singing in it, it's still a movie first and foremost, which means the voice actor will have to do actual acting with their voice, not just singing. Voice acting may appear simple on the surface, but it takes a lot of skill to really express a character well. Voice acting in general requires a different kind of skill that doesn't always translate between pop artists and even screen actors.

The requirements should have been native sounding Korean with good vocals. The fact that Danielle was chosen and not Yunjin or Hannie doesn't change the fact that it was obviously a company connection situation. Chances are, HYBE was contacted thanks to their influence in the West with BTS and they offered New Jeans as the choice (or HYBE saw the opportunity and pushed for New Jeans to get a role). Why New Jeans and not Leserafim? You could ask the same about why HYBE gets New Jeans big endorsements and not Lesserfim. New Jeans is their golden child. Anyways, in Danielle's case, they probably had several members audition, but for whatever reason, the Voice acting director felt Danielle fit the role the best, so she was selected.

Otherwise, if not HYBE connections, the idols you named like Aespa or Nmixx would have been obvious better choices, but connections and money talks. And not even. When you think about it, it's actually a little ridiculous for any idol at all to be cast rather than an actual professional singer and voice actor.

The fact that a recently debuted rookie idol with little to no experience in the industry and so-so vocal ability was able to get this voice acting role over actual professional singers and voice actors alone speaks to the level of connection that HYBE has.

Seriously? Kpop companies reject songs for sounding too kpop, and yet I've seen barely any songs this year that could actually pass for a western song in its entirety besides Fifty-Fifty's Cupid. They should probably redefine what they deem "too" kpop because I'm at the point where I think they are just talking just to talk when they claim they want to rank on the Billboard Hot 100.

That's because Itzy, G-idle, and Stray Kid were never apart of the same generation as IVE and New Jeans to begin with. They are late 3rd gen or 3.5 gen groups. 4th gen started in 2020 and it's down right laughable to try and claim that New Jeans/IVE/LSRF and Baby Monster aren't in the same generation because literally, what excuse could you possibly come up with that justifies putting them in separate eras?? These companies need to stop with the media play before they start getting dragged.

Imagine how stupid it's going to look to make a headline with something like "Baby Monster, the first 5th gen idol to hit 1 million in album sales!" as if IVE, New Jeans, LSRF, and Aespa aren't all right there. When you create a new category that excludes all your peers and not yourself, of course you can boast about achieving anything. But it will only serve to make you appear delusional. People are going to look at chart accounts with only 1 name listed on it celebrating some record that has already been broken, and laugh.

Aespa's concept wasn't rocket science or any so unique that they couldn't have brought in other producers to replicate it. The reason they didn't continue it after Lee Soo Man and that whack producer left is because they obviously had no interest in doing so. They never shared Lee Soo Man's vision for Aespa to begin with, that much we saw during the attempted hostile take over of the company. I doubt lyrics about plants was the only place SM disagreed with Lee Soo Man on. This comeback all but proves that. It's no coincidence that after those two are gone Aespa is finally looking ans sounding like a real kpop group and not a Meta plant.

The only thing I question is the smartness of this decision. Even though Aespa ai concept and Kwangya was deeply unpopular with the general public, it's what brought in their huge fanbase. Switching concepts now risks alienating many fans. And if this new concept doesn't bring back the general public, then switching concepts would all have been for nothing.

But perhaps it will pay off but it will take time to reverse the negative impact of Kwangya on the general public and this is a step in the right direction.
