He and the members work so hard, they can spend their money however they like atp.

Tbh, from a financial POV I get this decision. If we look at big luxury villa or apartment in Seoul it goes up to 15B won and more. And since Jungkook probably prefers living in a house type than in a high rise luxury building type, it's wiser to just build his own mansion than buy a new land and spend another exorbitant money and taxes. Spending another 7B won (hypothetically) to build his own mansion seems more cost-effective and just easier in taxes and paper works wise.
Anyways, what's he gonna do with his 2 basements and 3 floors tho? Me thinks he plans on lining up his motorcycles on the lower basement, then a game room in the upper basement 😂 Anyways, this is just a wild guess nothing serious.
BTS's Jungkook revealed to be building a 3-story luxury home in Itaewon-dongBusiness insiders have reported on April 4 KST that BTS's Jungkook is building a massive, luxury home in Yongsan-gu, Itaewon-dong, one of the riches…www.allkpop.com -
Huh, its pretty much expected that all will enlist this year if they intend to actually release an album in 2025.
Really? All of them this year??
They never said anything about releasing an album in 2025 tho, but they mentioned about 'reconvening' that year. All of them can still reconvene in 2025 if Taehyung and Jungkook plan on going by next year-- as long as they'll enlist by the 1st half of 2024. Just in time for SJ and then the rest of Hyung line to CB in the 2nd Half.
Maybe they will only prepare for an album around that time. I strongly believe a group CB and tour will happen around 2026.
But that's your opinion and assumption. Just sharing mine as well.

I know that Jimin will be the first one to enlist out of the maknae line, but what made you think that he'll go this year? Just curious.

I thought Namjoon said he'll go next year because he's still working on a project? Anyways, they're really trying to fulfill their promise to reconvene sa a group in 2025. A group CB might happen in 2026 tho. Hopefully, they'll rest atleast for a bit before they start promoting and tour as a group again.
Just a side note, I think Taehyung and Jungkook might really enlist together like they said. Just a wild guess lol.

Apparently the queue ended at around 140k. It's possible it's even more.

I don’t agree with NDAs over these contracts either. It only benefits the company. It’s to prevent artists from knowing that they are being underpaid or have unfair terms. They get these kids under contract and then control their lives for years and fans really expect these artists to know their worth. Lawyers are usually conservative (due to managing expectations from clients) and will negotiate bad terms just because it’s easier than actually working hard. They still get paid regardless. A lot of ARMY don’t want to hear this but for sure BTS aren’t making nearly the same as western artists with similar success.
Don't project your frustrations with HYBE to BTS. These are not 'kids' and they certainly don't need people like you on the internet who think they know better. Go back to shitting on how HYBE is such an evil company and stop looking down on BTS' intelligence and their capabilities of decision-making as an adult. You are just a fan and an outsider and you (we) don't know what's really going on in the inside and what's their contract like with HYBE.
And FYI, NDA will always exists in a contract and it's there for a reason.
Just to calm your nerves, this is recent and Joon said it himself about Kpop contracts (in general)...I'm 💯 sure BTS ain't hurting for money and that they have a TON of f*ck you money. This is the biggest group in the planet with over a decade of experience in the industry, and not some helpless babies that needed saving.
-
BTS need to leave HYBE asap. Hell no. HYBE made 1.7 trillion won in 2022 and that bogus 60-65% isn’t even accurate IMO. BTS should be paid more than this measly 200 billion won crap. I really hope BTS do some thinking during their enlistment and talk to some of their western friends to understand just how much they are being taken advantage of. This maybe normal in Korea but BTS would be so much better off out of the kpop industry.
Sorry, but you're getting antsy with the wrong reporting.
So, I translated this using Papago.
The content is correct because it looks like it came from a business report. But the reporting and title is WRONG. Pay commission is not the category to see how much companies pay their artists. Otherwise, financial analyst would've used this as a basis to report what the artists get. It looks like some user in theqoo made this title up.
Also, it is a PRIVATE matter and companies will never reveal how much they pay their artists cause it is under a CONTRACT AGREEMENT with NDA attached.
-
not buying into any of this tbh
Yeah. When I saw the title I'm like no way companies would reveal this. Then until I checked the source and it seems not reliable and it came from theqoo lol. Credible media outlets would have reported this already if true.
Someone needs to add up all the idols and "celebrities" of these four companies and figure out which companies are being generous and which are being cheapskates. At first glance, i REALLY dont like how JYP is only paying 70B won while YGE is paying 98B won.
I only count 14 active idols in YGE (Treasure and BP). Plus Somi and Zion T from TBL. That's 16 total not including whatever counts as a "celebrity".
JYPE has 9 in Twice, 8 in SKZ, 7 in NMIXX (since Jinny only recently left), 5 in Itzy, and 9 in NIZIU. That's 38 total idols excluding "celebrities".
Maybe YG has a lot more hidden "celebrities" that i dont know about but something tells me that JYP is really squeezing blood out of their poor idols without paying them what they deserve. .
It doesn't matter how many idols are in a company. What matters are the revenues and profit made.
IF this report is legit and correct, then the gap between YG and JYP seems legit since JYP was behind YG in earnings last year. And these sales are also distributed to their sub-companies. For example, YG had a modelling agency. Didn't they also manage actors or celebrities?
I'm side-eyeing SM primarily because of the small gap in numbers between YG and them, despite the latter company having generated 300billion won more. But that company was exposed to be full of corrupts and leech like LSM, so oh well...
Edit. I checked the source and it's very questionable, so disregard my comment lol.

Yoongiiiiii! Excited!
But gosh, they’re really rushing through each member’s album and singles, aren’t they? I know it’s for the tour but we haven’t even had enough time to process Jimin’s release before having to gear up for another one. The way I tell y’all that no fandom could be fed whole new albums and songs every 1-2 weeks and STILL pull huge numbers for every one of them.
Isn't Jimin's album pushed back to April? Atleast that's what I heard. It sucks that the gap of their releases are so short, but they don't exactly have the luxury of time rn. And Yoongi's sched is fixed and unmoveable since he's going on his sold out tour starting in late April.

OMGFFFG LET'S GET ITTTTT
Anyways, it just sink in that I only have a week left to memorize the lyrics of his album in which needed to be sung in Korean. Ok, got it.

As expected, that's really an amazing numbers!!

HYBE is shitty for that. But also it's expected for a company like HYBE to act with their own interests, since they want more profit than granting Jimin's suggestion.
Personally, I think NJ had multiple MV's because they were investing in their debut. Companies like to go hard with rookie groups, so their investment will pay off.
Meanwhile, more established groups will not get the same return/energy esp in promotions, since there's no need the 'full support' on companies part cause BTS/Jimin are established already. On top of that, companies get less cut in profit distribution due to this situation, whereas HYBE gets the majority cut in rookies like NJ. Atleast, that's what their reasoning is. Doesn't make it morally right since Jimin is part of BTS and if they have a sense of gratitude-- spending more money on some MV's should be fine.
OR they computed the expenses and it turns out that only a small profit will be shared between the two parties had they spend more of their budget on 2 more MVs.
Generally speaking, you need to spend somewhere around 500k to over a million per video to get the same quality of what Jimin and HYBE spent on SMF and Like Crazy (esp on SMF cause they built a whole ass walls and shit). On top of that, I'm sure they also spent more expenses on promotions which Jimin did a lot (music shows, going to varieties, radios, US trips in between and etc). I think fans tend to underestimate just how much money goes into promotions especially the production type.
Also, we don't know if Jimin pushed hard for this and counter act this with reasonable arguments etc..
I mean if profit is the problem here, then Jimin can easily compromise with HYBE like shelling out his own pocket money to shoulder the additional expenses needed to produce 2 more MVs. OR adjusting his profit share to give a more leeway on the company's side (profit wise). If that is he fought for this to happen.
