    BB hiatus was very long and i don't think bp will have a hiatus like that so solos won't be touring only group. I don't understand what u mean by greatest hits tour. Bp could tour anytime they want after they release an album. They even did a world tour with 13 songs and covers so they will be in a better postion than that for this time lol.

    We don't know what bp is thinking. They have earned a lot of money so i don't think money will be the biggest problem in their heads when they renew. If they leave yg, then it could be easily be wanting change of atmosphere or their own plans for future can't be fullfilled while staying in the company. It's what happened to snsd. so lets see. :eyes:

    if they do renew, then nothing can be done. Blacklabel will just have to work harder or present a white flag to yg that they give up which i don't think will happen. Blackpink is currently to Blacklabel what bigbang was to yg a decade ago. Blackpink bring huge amount of money to blacklabel and teddy. We could see what happened in 2021 again. while teddy focuses on new gg, he will give solos to bp members like how he focused on somi while putting blackpink on hiatus last year. let's see what happens.

    Bp contract is until 2023. The new gg should come later in 2024-2025. And by that time, ella gross will be 15-16 and it's a good enough age to debut. I haven't seen the blacklabel trainees but i think they will be waiting for a few more years with how slow teddy works. He is exactly same like yg and draws a lot of inspiration from yang hyun suk.

    I didn't mean bl would stop their association with yg. It's just that they will be building their own identity separate from yg. And what better way to do it than debuting a new kpop group which should come in a few years?

    I think YGE has laid out a rough plan for blackpink until the contract expiration which should be release of album and then world tour (maybe hopefully do solos in the end).


    So During that contract renewal talks, the members will have to decide if they want to continue working with teddy and blacklabel and with umg support. I honestly would like to see them having more control over their own music and not waiting on teddy but they will still have to pass through the annoying yg company to release songs :pepe-torch: . I hope they think real hard about their future. :pepe-narrow-eyes:

    if winner gets a mini album, then there is a good chance bp will also get a mini album so i'm interested in what yg does with winner. yg has this weird strategy where they give same type of strategy to winner and bp. Ofcourse, both were promoted differently and winner had more comebacks and more songs because blackpink has to deal with teddy but the release strategy looked similar to me.


    Too many instances which i want to mention:

    1. 2016 two double single releases by bp and winner in 2017 gets two double single releases.

    2. winner gets a full album in 2018 and bp gets a mini album(thanks teddy). Mino and Jennie get solo in the same month.

    2019 bp gets their 2nd mini album. winner gets 2 mini albums and a solo and remember the yg promise that bp will release 2 albums in 2019 so we never got that 3rd mini album in 2019 and that rose solo because why? everything was scrapped because yang hyunsuk along with teddy holds the connections with umg/interscope and everything about bp had to go through them both as they wanted to be involved in globally successful group which is bp in every step but yang hyunsuk had to leave yg and stop all his work for a while. Winner could do korean promotions and they didn't need yg and teddy's input. Don't forget that Somi signed an interscope deal in 2020 because of teddy and it's only crickets for other yg groups.

    3. Winner and Bp prerelease and full album release strategy in 2020 and then hiatus for winner because of military enlistment and hiatus for blackpink because for some weird reason yg only wants to do a blackpink comeback when they do something with winner.

    4. 2021 rose and lisa get solos and winner members get solos as if both groups are going through enlistment.


    So, let's see what yg does with winner.


    Final thoughts: Bp release strategy is decided by both teddy and yang hyun suk after my observations. But teddy decides the no. of songs blackpink gets and is the creative director. Promotions were still being handled by yang hyunsuk for bp in 2020 but 2021 seems to be the start of teddy's full control over bp and more interesting movements in 2022 which i'll talk below. I think yang hyun suk is finally retiring and teddy is building his own company separate from yg.

  • Blackpink and other yg groups' biggest obstacle will always be Yang hyunsuk.

    I'm afraid Yang hyunsuk still decides which yg artist gets to comeback and when. Just thinking about him being in a treasure concert, it disgusts me to the core. And the drug and prostitution culture in that company? disgusting. I think fans forget how rotten that company is. And the main problem- yg was a "hiphop" company for a decade before they started creating their "Idols who are talented swag and not like other pretty idols" groups. The company simply don't yet have the right culture, people and expertise to manage idol groups let alone girl groups. And they don't want to accept defeat and learn from other companies. The same guy Yang hyun suk who was managing korean hiphop artists still wants everything to go through him to this day for all his idols and expects idols to make their own music. And in addition to that, he has made it clear multiple times he is more comfortable discussing music with only males like bigbang, psy, epik high and sechskies to name a few. The amount of times he ignore leehi,CL or blackpink is well known. He didn't plan for a future without bigbang. He thought bigbang will be together for 20 years and did not expect their career would end so tragically. The company's biggest mistake was, they decided bigbang should be the blueprint for all their future groups when in reality bigbang was special and cannot be emulated. This poor company is now getting crushed by kpop powerhouses like SM and JYP right now thanks to him. I remember his statement in an article where he said "carving the best bat takes time and the person might get annoyed but they will in the end get the best bat". Well, yg the match is now over and because u took too long carving ur bats and half of them came out crap anyway.

    Prosecution Revealed To Have Closed Case On Yang Hyun Suk’s Prostitution Mediation Suspicions



    The prosecution has concluded that they cannot charge Yang Hyun Suk with mediating prostitution.

    Previously, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Provincial Special Detective Division revealed plans to forward a recommendation of non-indictment for Yang Hyun Suk regarding suspicions of mediating prostitution. After the search and seizure investigation of YG Entertainment’s financial accounts, police sources revealed that while they found money transfers, there was not enough evidence to prove the prostitution mediation suspicions. Furthermore, although there was evidence that confirmed Yang Hyun Suk met with investors from Southeast Asia, there was no evidence that was directly connected to prostitution.

    According to legal sources on November 25, the Division of Crimes Against Women & Children of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office suspended the indictment of Yang Hyuk Suk on September 30 regarding the suspicion of mediating prostitution.

    The prosecution also suspended the indictment of the other people involved in the case, including Madam Jung and wealthy investor “A,” who were suspected to have mobilized women from entertainment establishments at the time.

    Yang Hyun Suk was accused of mediating prostitution in July and September 2014 at a high-end restaurant in Seoul for “A.” There were also suspicions that Yang Hyun Suk arranged prostitution services when “A” traveled abroad with ten women at entertainment establishments in October of the same year.

    Prior to the prosecution, the police also investigated the allegations based on financial transaction statements, phone records, and testimonies from women who attended the events but concluded that there was no objective evidence of prostitution.

    The police forwarded Yang Hyun Suk and others to the prosecution on September 20, and the prosecution later decided that the police’s conclusion was reasonable following a strengthened investigation.

    The police partially confirmed the sexual relationship between “A” and women at an adult entertainment establishment overseas but found no specific statement or objective evidence to suggest that there was prostitution. They also found it difficult to confirm that Yang Hyun Suk actively mediated prostitution or paid the women for it.

    Meanwhile, Yang Hyun Suk has completed police questioning regarding allegations that he covered up a drug incident involving former iKON member B.I in 2016. In addition, the police have forwarded Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri to the prosecution on charges of habitual gambling.

    On November 5 2021, the 23rd Criminal Settlement Division (head judge Yoo Young Geun) of the Seoul Central District Court held its first trial regarding Yang Hyun Suk and two other people’s charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes by making threats of retaliation against an informant.


    this is the case in court. So yea, basically doing everything they can to make han seo hee's testimony against him look weak and establishing his innocence over that particular charges. Yg doesn't care about his honor and just wants to end han seo hee. I'm guessing prostitution charges will likely be in his favour because of han seo hee's bad character and tantrums in court.
