But is he really wrong?
Actually you can't never predict what the future holds especially in kpop, but after over 5 years where the 4th generation started you can actually understand what he is saying.
Beside Album sales which is absolutely inflated there is not a big growth in the 4th generation compared to the 3rd generation. Also the fact that the face of Kpop BTS will be in hiatus and the other top groups from the 3rd generation are slowly stepping back and don't promote how they used to be you can see that it's hard to fill the gap for these top groups from this generation.
What do you think?
Are there anyone who believes we will see a new height and version of Hallyu wave?

I find it weird that Hybe will acquiring some LSM shares but eventually still allowing LSM to maintaining his position (as per his request). This move isn't gonna benefiting Hybe at all so why would they?

HYBE main focus is to block Kakao. With any opportunity they have since it would really hard for HYBE and CJ if Kakao have their hands over SM and getting a big control in THE KPOP Industry.

We can get another smash hit and it still won't break ditto because it's itself a smash hit with the longest period of tracking time.
AlOTY TXT or stray kids. These groups surpassed the album sales power of svt and nct dream. Especially when txt have an another comeback after this successfull comeback where they will have even more Sale power than right now.
But I see the possibility that Jungkook will beat both groups if he will get a regular Solo debut with normal promotions (not even big) he is a superstar. The other superstar V will probably focus in dramas and movies.
AOTY will be probably Newjeans, IU, LYW, Jungkook or definitely Blackpink if they get an another comeback.
Overall it's hard to predict what will happen since it's so unpredictable to say who will be successful who doesn't. TXT is the best example of that.
I thought of them a regular successful boygroup but with this comeback and the ridiculous surprise in digital and physical they are definitely the number 1 of the 4th gen boy groups.

Beside of Album sales the records from SKZ are not really that impressive. It's just the fact that beside TXT and Enhypen the whole 4th gen a GG era was and still is.
So it's not a big surprise that a balanced boygroup like TXT with now a big domestic Fandom in Korea is breaking so many records. Their company Hybe had the whole time a good strategy for them meanwhile JYP used SKZ many times as a filler group.

First JYP needs to stop being influenced by SM. Comparing them with HYBE in this state is an insult to the directors and CEOs of hybe who did the whole work for the groups.
Then they need to find their own colour in this industry. With SKZ they somehow succeeded but with them I have the feeling that wasn't really the work from jyp itself.

Has SM really dome anything? Lol. Getting some interviews and writing some click bait articles are such useless flimsy things…. is what people consider a “push”?
New Jeans had five back to back comebacks in six months with focus on Spotify a paid streaming service that yields the best results for something like BB HOT100
It’s ok to say SM has tried but new jeans was pushed and promoted to the highest degree to get these results more than any other group in the history of kpop. I don’t believe any group in kpop has ever had the treatment new jeans has had. There’s nothing wrong with it good for them. But this narrative that SM tired and failed while HYBE or ador did it naturally is hilarious.
New Jeans are successful because they come from the biggest kpop company and had the biggest push in the history of kpop ever. It would be embarrassing if they had not been so.
You can have your own opinion I am not here to change that. But the biggest push? Superm, aespa and NCT 127 are fighting for that title.
The only push where newjeans are in the highest are in the fashion industry where they get Brand deals left and right without any personal experience or social media accounts.

Where is the payola? Didn't Hype boy gained same amount of streams as attention and till today its the way more stable songs compared to attention? Without any Playlist at the start like attention?
That is normal promo, which is much better than the Yt views adds which is literally a unfair boost for groups in music show wins.
