If I had a chance I would go. I love many of their songs and their vocals are soooo good.

Agree. I mean it' still a young age but I think many idols who debut with 15/16 are missing something.
I've seen a lot of idols talk about how they didn't have much of their youth, either in passing or directly. You have to remember that these idols debut at 15 or 16, but of course they also had a training period before that, which in most cases goes 2-3 years. So that means school, training, school, training. You can't speak of youth there.
While many don't say it, I do believe that some do regret it.
With an official debut age of 18, these idols would still be young, but would have had more of their childhood. Above all, I think that at 18 you already have more of an idea of what you want for the future than you do at 15.
Since I doubt that such a thing is feasible, I hope at least that at some point there will be more laws for the protection of such young idols.
I don’t know about kpop but one sports coach said they train them as kids early to get their muscle memory active. Maybe the same reason may apply here. Even if they are debuting at 18, they will obviously need to train earlier than that and work hard
True I don’t agree with sexualization of minors. If they debut them as minors, they should treat them like minors
What you say is right. I don't know who said it, but either a director of YG, SM or JYP once said that trainees are much more teachable at that age.

Can't wait. I'm ready

Blinks should pay money for the whole project. Except for Weverse. They say it's for Blinks, but the only thing it's for is YG's wallet.
There are a thousand things YG could have done for the fans and still made money.
Released a song. It doesn't have to be promoted like Sour Candy, for example. The downloads would have brought the money.
Or for example, it would have been a cool idea for Blackpink to publish cover songs on YouTube. They always do that at their concerts and YG would still have earned money from it, because the views on YouTube also bring in money.
There are more than a thousand ideas and I came up with these two in 5 seconds. The whole project is a joke.

The companies of some artists are exactly the right ones, but what if these companies had to hand over the artists (for whatever reason, who cares)?
I'll begin. but remember..... JUST FOR FUN!
Blackpink - HYBE Labels (Big Hit)
Ikon - HYPE Labels (Big Hit)
Twice - SM Enterainment
SNSD - JYP Entertainment
TXT - JYP Entertainment
Red Velvet - JYP Entertainment
BTS - YG Entertainment (watch spoiler)
BigBang - HYBE Labels (Big Hit)
Aespa - HYBE Labels (Big Hit)

surpass in what?
physical sales? for sure.
in views for mv? nothing more sure than that.
wins in music shows? Depending on the song and promotion
Success in the Korean charts? Not easy to compare. Would have to come back at the same time, but basically no one can defeat IU.
Sucess in international charts. Yup.

I mean it was easier back then to sell albums than today but these numbers weren't easy in the physical album generation too.
But we shouldn't forget that the contracts weren't the same as today. Many idols didn't see much money and SM was known for having slave contracts.
But she is a SM director now, right? I think she will be rich her whole life.

confirmed by melon*
I'm curious to see if she's gonna have a single, single album like Rosé or a mini lol.
I doubt a mini. YG is always giving us the bare minimum.
I'm sure she gets a single album.
She already filmed a mv last week and DJ Snake confirmed that their song isn't filmed yet, so I guess we get two songs

Not promoting Anti Romantic when it was doing so well everywhere I guess
the song is so nice. I'm not a fan but I like the song. Could be much more popular.
