So the year they debuted the groups that faded away are considered 2nd gen. While EXO and groups there after is considered 3rd gen.

EXO main competitors were BTS but Bigbang were also seen as competition for what I know, and at the end of the day the same happen with these supposedly "4th gen groups" they may have similar sales between each other and may not have big sales but they do compete with some 3rd gen groups in sales and ranking overall as how big a group is, even with groups that are peaking latter now this do reflects that 3rd gen aint dying and that this new bunch of groups till 2019 is 3.5.

Actually, charts aren't separated by generations or debut years, unless you create your own charts like "best selling act that debuted in 20xx" or "best charting 20xx act" , so technically everyone competes with everyone. And for what I know EXO did compete with 2nd gen boy groups, back in 2015 against BB

I think people may underestimate Lisa when it comes to korean charts, she can always deliver a cool summer upbeat songs that can give her the edge out in SK. Japan will definitely be Twice since thats their biggets market, but overall will be Lisa with Gaon physicals, Streams and Digitals around the world

oh yeah that is weird, but also they had 3 artists making comebacks and debuts in march, also in february iirc no yg artist had a comeback either, so probably they are going 1 month with comebacks, 1 month without it to not pressure their artists

BP was never like 2ne1, they have their own concept, unlike 2ne1 who focused themselves in the hard and mature concepts with some touches of freaky, BP pull out the maturity, the youth, the growing up in their colours, both black and pink . Both can be in the girl crush category, but they were never alike
