I like both but I'm leaning more to Everglow especially the teasers in the black outfits.

One of the best song released by a K-pop group this year. Happy for them!
-
Purple Kiss/Everglow/StayC/Weeekly as of today(still need others to debut). Hope they can be bigger than I expect.
-
Their old digital distributor was 1thK, but for Everglow's, they changed it Stone Music. I believe the reason behind the change has to do with Mnet ( particularly KCON and the other programs they run).
I see, being with 1thek could have helped alot currently considering how huge of a platform they seem to be in getting put on to the SoKor audience.
I hope this comeback can make a significant amount of progress in the SoKor market for them.

Yes. They've even been on Running Man 2x. They trended #1 on Naver when they performed Dun Dun and Ladida on Sketchbook. They even had their own variety show.
I think Yueha should partner up with 1theK to promote them on their platform like weeekly, purple kiss, StayC etc. They are too talented and a well rounded group to still be under the radar in S.Kr.

Great video, Choreo is really good as expected of Itzy. The song on the other hand might be a bit too experimental for Itzy, not sure what JYP was thinking when he chose this as the TT.
That said it's really catchy at some parts but it will be a polarizing song for sure, some of the b-sides would have served better as the TT imo.

Dunga Dunga should have been the debut TT

Shoot was arranged and composed by Europeans. 1 of European composer wrote for Little Mix, Olly Murs, Machine Gun Kelly, Hailee Steinfeld, The Wanted, Cheryl Cole, and Fifth Harmony.
Again, The reason why Shoot, Kidding Me and Tennis were not chosen as TT is because Jay Why Pee wants his money. I really hate that old hag.
Ohhh yeah, he was the composer or producer of. Mafia loool. Hope it doesn't limit their success this comeback though because I feel if one of those 3 mentioned were the TT, they might perform better since they sound more catchy but can't tell till we hear the full songs

Timing is a factor but overall I think the "gp" actually like them. Weeekly released a song that's really good and is well received within same time frame but they aren't doing as well on the melon chart.
I just see it more as stayC being destined to be a top group, they have everything to succeed it's just to see how far they go. What high up has done so far is excellent, they are marketed very well, the girls seems to have really bright personalities, they are decent vocalists and they have BEP.
Also I don't think Everglow would have had an effect on them considering Everglow are the one of the 3(Aespa will probably be the 4th) 4th gen GG competing with Itzy internationally but can't break into the Korean market(they deserve better).

Finally JYPE has left Itzy's comfort zone, these songs sounds ambitious. It will be interesting to see how it'll be received. It seems they are leaving the teen crush concept and leaning into the girl crush and a more mature sound.
Shoot reminds me of Travis Scott's sound but it's a bit similar to OMG by Camilla(

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.Mafia in the morning is different and dare I say experimental, interesting it was chosen as the TT over Shoot and Kidding me.
From the snippets the stand outs for me are Kidding me, Shoot and Tennis.
Mafia in the morning and Wild Wild West are very interesting, they will either be great or mediocre. I'm definitely interested in listening now, wish them the best.

Ponzona is the better song but Black Mamba is the better debut TT track but they can't be compared since Purple Kiss debuted with a Mini containing 7 songs with Black Mamba only being better than My heart skips a bit imo.
-
Is HYTL considered a TT? It's between PWF, Whistle or Ice Cream imo.
-
RBW did almost everything right except choosing the "debut" TT.
Ponzona(still think they should have gone with Skip Skip) is great but it seems as with Enhypen (I consider it to be the best rookie debut last year but fell short for a debut TT to capture as much of the audience as possible imo) they didn't do their research on the 4th gen groups so far that has seen some form of success, all of them came out with a song that easily catches the audience no matter if you consider it great or decent (La ta ta, Bon bon chocolat, So bad, Boy, Tag Me, Who dis? and Black mamba) Or was unique but absolutely stood out like Iz*One's La vie en rose or TxT's Crown or Itzy's Dalla Dalla.
Also no matter how much we keep saying "debut" that isn't technically true. They still released 2 original songs with MVs(that were included in their mini) so in some way they already debuted back in December only difference is they'll get to promote this time around.
With their promotions kicking off today hopefully they see success cause I'm really rooting for them a lot. Also you can't expect Mamamoo fans to support them financially except maybe stream and I think so far they are doing okay for a mid tier company like RBW, their MV views will likely surpass Tri.be(I think they have the most views for a debut this year) by the weekend or next week with 2 mvs previously released and about to get 10k sales for their debut mini.

Hip hop/Rnb. I don't get why a lot of people want a dance track, that's basically boxing her in and I'm seeing a lot of that sigh. She's more than a dancer smh. Anyway as I said last week, something like Rihanna's "Desperado"/"Needed me" or Tinashe's "Company"/"Sacrifices" and it's something she wants to do. If they want a "safe" dance track them she should be given more than 1 song.

it does need to find it's musical identity to distinguish itself as a genre. Currently it's just mainly pop music that's in Korean and it borrows a lot from other genres so it's expected. Unless agencies allow their artists to creatively try and push the genre and give it an identity, it'll keep being what it currently is.
