true but BTS had more impact in 2018 and 2019. 2016 was a big year for BTS but internationally and domestically 2018-2020 takes the cake. BTS had less than 1M followers on every platform in 2016. But look at now! I'm pretty sure most of them were just answering the year they found out about BTS, not the year they actually became an ARMY.
2016 being more than 2018 & 2019 seems unrealistic.

Not only are these idols overworked and work beyond 10 pm, they are even required to go under extreme diets and sexualized by their companies. Don't you think underaged idols working under kpop companies should be considered as child labour?

then the culture also plays a big role then. An average American spends way more on entertainment than a Chinese person. Also there's a huge censorship on kpop in China. So there's hardly any chance for a kpop idol going mainstream unless China becomes their main priority for promotion, which is highly unlikely considering we're talking about "kpop" idols, not "cpop" idols.
