Yes there is but nobody follows the rule. I can't say for all groups but I do remember Jungkook performing on shows past 12 am KST as a minor. I don't think it's a big deal.

According to that Korean Labour Act, anybody under 18 can work given the guardian's permission. It's like the child's opinions don't matter. I feel bad for the type of kids you've mentioned above. They have no say in their career decisions.

Not only are these idols overworked and work beyond 10 pm, they are even required to go under extreme diets and sexualized by their companies. Don't you think underaged idols working under kpop companies should be considered as child labour?

well BH should go to jail according to Labour Standards Act for overworking and sexualizing Jungkook as a minor.

Now that ARMY understood how cruel BigHit is, I hope they file a case against them. Other fandoms should the same to protect their idols.

then the culture also plays a big role then. An average American spends way more on entertainment than a Chinese person. Also there's a huge censorship on kpop in China. I would say western fans are more richer than chinese fans. US Dollar conversion to Korean currency brings you more than Yuan. Also everything in China is pretty cheap, so I'm pretty sure albums sold over are cost way less than in the west.

the streams get filtered later on, so it doesn't matter how obsessed they are. also unique listeners matter as well. anyways, Korea only has 50 million population. I'm pretty sure not even 1 million are hardcore kpop fans. So don't expect any bg (even gg) to have many hardcore fans in Korea.

the fans who buy albums don't buy only 1 album. They usually buy all the different versions of the same album. So the number of actual fans is pretty less but more albums for each one.
