yea its a lot but Starship has Monsta X, WJSN, Cravity and various other soloist like Kwill, soyou etc... Izone works etc.
THeir artists already did 7 comebacks this year, and they are not slowing down
You are right. Comparing Yuehua to Starship in Korea is a bit much though, Starship has more resources and probably has a very well-implemented and rehearsed comeback process compared to Yuehua. I'm just stating, Yuehua isn't doing too bad for what it has gone through. I'm disappointed Everglow couldn't come back earlier, but their staff got covid then they got covid. Obligated to follow Korean covid protocol, they lost 2 months.
yuehua is super rich but they are not very active.
With the small number of resources in Korea and all the Covid-19 infections in their company, they've managed well. Woodz came out with a comeback this year, selling 80,000+ albums the first week, 250k+ total since debut last year, co-managing Yena's activities, managing Lee Do-Hyun (A rising actor, been on running man3 times last year), preparing for Everglow's next comeback, and preparing trainees for the new Planet999 survival show (Cheng Xiao's Sister)... That's quite a lot of work. What's important to note is, all their artists are doing well.
If you really think about it, Starship probably shares resources from other KakaoM subsidiaries such as Play M for music and BH Entertainment for actors/actresses. If we look at it from a larger scope, KakaoM is comparable to the larger companies.
Yuehua and Starship have a tight business relationship. If Starship wants their trainees out then so would Yuehua. It's just company politics. I'm not sure if you've worked in an international company before but that's just how it works.
I'll show you how tight their business relationship is...

Not every company will let their most popular artist promote another company like this...
Also when Yuehua's UNIQ debuted, Starship artists such as SISTAR and Monsta X openly promoted them on social media.
They have a very close bond and their business model is the same. Promote their trainee on a survival show and debut them later. Yuehua and Starship never had the intention of furthering the contract in the first place. There is nothing to get mad about... They aren't evil companies either, they care for the artists too. Most of Yuehua's and Starship's artists are doing well. Your argument is probably... Iz*one sells millions of albums, and this and that... Sure they sell millions but how much really is going into the hands of the artists and their label? Iz*one's high production, many youtube videos, Swing Entertainment's cut, Royalties, etc. If Iz*one was truly making a lot of money for Yuehua and Starship and their artists, do you really think they would've pulled out? Companies aren't incompetent and ignorant, they probably did their financial analyses. Both Yena, and Wonyoung and Yujin, have work lined up for them, which probably makes them more money than Iz*one. What Iz*one brings is really just fame.
That said... I support a group because of the artists. Do you want to know why I chose Everglow? Because I like their music and their character. I also support them because they aren't from a large well-established company (Yes their company is big in China but they don't have the same resonance as YG or SM). Groups from well-established companies don't need my financial help. Groups with a lot of potential from companies such as Yuehua Korea critically need the numbers. Yeah, I buy Blackpink albums and BTS albums, but I only purchase the bare minimum, it's to show that I support them. However, I spend the most money on Everglow because Blackpink and BTS probably eating Korean beef every day and have millions of dollars whereas Everglow members are making nothing to trying to pay off their debt.
You know, people who make these rash decisions such as boycotting companies, don't do these artists any good. It Fucking Hurts them... If you don't want to support them, FINE, that's you... But don't disseminate negativity that'll hurt artists who are working hard, giving their blood, sweat, and tears, and trying to live their dreams. That's just unthoughtful, selfish, ignorant, and simple-minded.
I think wizones can accept izone disband cause they has support chaewon's cover in woolim live with 8,5k comments on yt and 100k views.
They should support the girls carrer individuel if they should wish produce curse
From what I see, it's just Everglow and their company getting all the heat. maybe it's prejudice towards a Chinese company? Or maybe it's the fact that Everglow has quite the 4th Gen GG success story... W/e it is, people need to respect both Everglow and Yena regardless of their decisions. Getting upset about these situations helps noone.
She is one entertainer person so her job is maybe presenter in variety show
I wouldn't mind her joining Everglow. People talk about how she'll overshadow the other members or she'll be the Yeri of Everglow, but those cases aren't valid in her situation. Everglow had a good 2 years getting a head start to publicize themselves and Yena joining Everglow had been a speculation since debut. It would be no surprise. The only issue is, will wiz*ones accept her joining Everglow.
I have a pretty good feeling she'll join Everglow. I think the point of her being an MC and joining other variety shows is to further expand her popularity which in turn will make Everglow even more popular if she joins.
It's also great to see a "new face" on YH KR Twitter. Usually it's WOODZ, Everglow, and actor Lee Do-Hyun.
Got 19 more days before Everglow's first comeback of the year. I made a banner to spread awareness. If you would like the banner to help me promote Everglow in this forum, just click on the image and save as PNG. ; )
My point is that by moving so many low skilled jobs that paid decently overseas, they left a lot of workers unemployed and unemployable. These workers needed those jobs because they can't get any other jobs. There are a lot of people whodon't have the capability or motivation/circumstances to seek higher learning or training.
Corporate America moving manufacturing overseas due to cheap labor and costs is part of the reason why disability and unemployment are rising. I see a lot of these people in my work and they are able to get only low skilled jobs but those jobs don't pay enough to live on. The US is heading towards a economic meltdown that will involve a lot of violence.
That is capitalism for you. In all seriousness, I don't think manufacturing overseas is the biggest issue but the integration of automation in the manufacturing process.
Let me give you this case:
Ultrafine polishing injection mold is an industry that hasn't incorporated automation yet due to it being intricate work. In that industry, there is a lack of talent because of younger generations not wanting to work in the field. So I'm currently working on a project to fix that problem. But it's projected, if the work is automated, the industry will be saturated with talent because automation will take away many jobs.
Even in a country like China, they are outsourcing a lot of their manufacturing to countries in the middle east and Africa. It's because as a nation develops, noone wants to do the tough labor. In turn, it'll lead to a lack of talent so the businesses need integration automation. Well, if they integrate automation... the robots take over human labor. Thus, there will be a lack of manufacturing jobs.
I am not sure....People mostly talk in % around here. I know I've heard something about being paid 200% for the weekends (including Saturday) / holidays, which I would assume it means 2x as you said it.
I don't think it's legal in my country for people to work so many hours. Even our operators have their shifts fromMonday to Friday and work on weekends only when it's the 4th shift.
I know there are some rules here that even if you work overtime, there's a limit to the number of hours per month that you can cross as an employee.
P.S. I searched it up now. There's a total of 160 hours/month usually for the employees (8 hours per 5days * 4 weeks = 160 normal working hours as an average), but you even if you work overtime, you can't legally work more than 192 hours / month.

What is the overtime pay in your country/company? I know for my former company it is 1.5x for regular overtime and Sunday/Holiday overtime 2x.
