If you ask the most toxic fandom now the result will be different I know you’re not stupid enough to not know that the popular group’s fandoms will be called the most toxic depending on the time. And all of these are shaped by translation accounts who translate based on a narrative.
Instead of thinking being in a fandom is a personality trait I suggest you stop embarrassing yourself and leave my thread.
Thanks much.

I never said exo L's were never toxic, I said all the major fandoms went through a toxic phase at some point. When a group gets really big it tends to attract terminally online type people who view the fandom as their friends and family, and are willing to go to any lengths to support that group, as well as garden variety trolls because they know they'll get a lot of attention if the group is popular.
Exo debuted a decade ago, I haven't seen rabid exo fans online in many years. Exo is not that active as members are doing military service, members have left the group, had kids, etc, it's just a weird example to bring up right now. Half the people on this site weren't even around for that era. I also specifically said that some blinks *have* been toxic before, reread the post.
Ofc every fandom has their toxic people but not all fandom initiate sabotage to certain group during their performance (black ocean) or crowned as most roxic fandom. There's a difference there. Lets not be delulu

saying melon will soon be as relevant as bugs is what made your comment sound ignorant. first spotify korea needs to become as relevant as bugs.
Why you focus only on spotify korea part and not the "people chaing platformS" part (s there means plural, Im sure you know). I just randomly took an example from whatever crossed my mind at that time writing the comment (didnt even think heavily when taking example)
Its true koreans changing platformS in listening music. Youtube for example if you want bigger amount. In some years, these platforms could literally take a big chunk of melon listeners or even obliterate it, who knows. If you deny change, you will be just like Nokia vs android

Yeah sure those threads popping here and there suddenly about sulyoon is all by knetz..
Exactly because beauty is subjective, people with sheep mentality can be easily guided to idea of something is beautiful and something is not by constant posts or articles. Like some whatever paintings with just random lines is said to be one of most expensive paintings compared to a perfect sketch of someone's face.

Lipsync was always a thing, and yes it's not like it was uncommon, but they did sing live. Nowdays a group singing live on a music show is so rare that's it's treated like a huge thing when it happens
4th gen dosing lives too sometimes. What's your point lol
It's literally just the same for all generations. Deadass the argument during yg stans and sm stans back then in 2009-2ne1 disbanded is who lipsync the most and who doesn't, or who is talented the most who isn't
If lip sync was so "rare" in old gen, there wouldn't be a bill proposed to ban lip sync. Just simple as that.

Me whenever someone praises winter or karina's "visuals"
Winter is more attractive than sulyoon at least.
Sulyoon is the least attractive member of nmixx. Literally there's Bae or Lily or Probably jiwoo and jyp decided to media play the heck out of sulyoon as "the beauty of nmixx".
This is same case of Sohee during wonder girls.

think again. spotify has even smaller market share than bugs in korea. melon has 40% market share, bugs has 3%, spotify korea has 1.5% market share. if anything bugs should be removed from instiz. youtube music is now the 2nd biggest music platform after melon but they don't offer hourly data, only daily.
Please open dictionary and find the meaning of "shifting". This shifting phase could take some time. And it's not just spotify, I just mentioned one for example.
Pay attention to the "people shifting platformS" phrase and not on the spotify word

Gaon will adjust too eventually.

I mean if people do stan music for vocal prowes, Sohyang would be best selling singer now and not BTS or something.
People use vocal prowes only if they need to downplay idols they don't like or idols who are rivals of their idols. For example people keep calling luna the best singer (totally arguable) to downplay other soloist who are way way more successful (sales and all) but when Luna released albums or singles, they always tanked real hard and nobody cares to stream or buy her music. So yes, vocal prowes don't really feed you in kpop realm

Are low melon ul numbers because of lack of audience for new music or is melon even losing more users? Where are these ppl going? Yt music?
The gaon points are miserable all across the board. These songs are not having anywhere the activity of a top10 songs should. Literally mid levels.
Imo people shifting platforms (like spotify for example).
Soon, probably melon would be as relevant as bugs now (probably).
It's nice tho so that I don't need to see bs argument about PAK whatsoever again (perhaps)

Big Planet Made signed Be'o today. They signed Lee Mujin a few weeks back as well.
Who's behind the label?
Edit: Was looking at some of recent starts for 4th gen gg's and saw that Eleven never once made it above 300k UL's on Melon?
I haven't been following the charts recently but I didn't realise UL's were doing that badly. It'll be interesting to see if UL's pick up on Melon when summer hits as I realise Covid is semi-peaking again in SK as well. Or if this is another year in which Melon continues to decline in users.
Well, the most important thing is those people "loyal" in streaming eleven. I mean, it's already months and eleven is still in top 10 melon right now. It works I guess. Not everyone gonna be #1

INVU got total of 7 hours PAKs i believe but i dont know if that number will beat RV one
isn't she your bias?

Mmm, I was kinda with you for the first half of this comment. Like SM seems like they rely too much on talent and not as much on building relationships between idols fans that seem personal to the fans. For example NCT, there are sooo many members and they all swap in and out of the subunits, the message that SM is either intentionally or unintentionally sending there is that the members are all replaceable, none of them are special or unique. That was a big misstep on SM's part, going back to SNSD one of the reasons they were so successful is that the public knew each member and loved their personalities.
Re: toxic fandom, are you kidding? Lol, hardcore exo stans are all like married with kids these days, they're not engaging in online fan wars. Every major fandom has gone through a toxic phase, including blinks and everyone else. That's not an SM specific issue.
Edited to add: I've always wondered if SM's strategy with NCT was in response to what happened to Exo. Exo was riding so high and took a big hit when some members left the group. It felt to me like they wanted to prevent any members of NCT from getting so popular that losing them would harm the group. Problem is, if they don't get that popular than neither does the group..
Please let's not with this exo ls are saint and not engaging with wars when they were once crowned as the most toxic fandom. SM boy groups stans are generally toxic to SM girl groups. I can bet you my arms, that SM boy groups stans prefer to stan blackpink instead of SM girl groups, and don't care or even toxic to them. Like, some people keep saying elfs are so saint as well, when they were the one that initiated black ocean to snsd back then.
And blinks aren't toxic? Are we living in the same universe?

Sure it is less for previous gens to the point there was a bill proposed to ban lipsync in 2011. Totally means less lipsync back then
Anyone denying fact here is who think previous gens barely did lip sync
