Why do yall think her fame is calculated, are you blind or can you not see the amount of companies and groups that try to replicate her style, looks and popularity? And failing?
Honestly, the constant downplaying of Lisa and Jennie’s popularity is boring. They are both huge. Rosé and Jisoo are huge too. All BP members have so much power individually and as a group.

Honestly you should just put these akgae on ignore, the amount of disdain they have for Lisa is scary. They really should focus on their fave. It’s especially hilarious considering Lisa clearly doesn’t give a shit about subs, otherwise she would promote herself. Hell, she barely posts on IG, despite being at nearly 50m followers.
Jennie has a solo, has loads of endorsements, just opened a youtube channel... there is so much great content for them to appreciate, yet they are hung up on Lisa. That’s not fair on Jennie either!
It’s just sad that no one can start a thread praising Lisa without people being bitter. All the BP members are awesome, arguing about it is just dumb.

I think it’s a combination of SEA fans who will stan any kpop idol who is from SEA, especially when said kpop idol is backed by a YG branding that promotes luxurious, classy lifestyle that especially girls can use as a self-insert, (ie if Lisa can be a SEA kpop idol then there’s hope for me kind of mindset) because if you watch any of their BTS content you’ll find that Lisa has the most nondescript and Undefinable personality, she is basically a blank slate for fans to project themselves onto (why there’s so many random ships of Lisa despite zero interactions like liskook, bc these SEA fans fantasize themselves in lisa’s place, being a kpop idol and dating their oppar of their dreams) and it’s a great marketing tactic imo. and then Lisa getting shilled hard in China (and majority of Chinese are weebs/kboos so they will automatically like any kpop idol that promoted in China).
Nope, none of this makes any sense. But nice xenophobia there against SEA fans, truly low. Lisa is the most popular in China and that’s why she has gigs there.
It’s so embarrassing how people try and downplay her popularity.

Of course she was. Jennie had several pre debut collabs, Jisoo had acting gigs and starred in MVs and Rosé had a GD collab. Lisa was barely seen! The delusion... stay mad I guess, not even sure why I’m giving your ridiculous list the time of day!
Anyway, Lisa is a one in a kind idol. Her dancing, her stage presence, her rapping... she just has IT. I don’t think you can replicate her success' because it’s rare someone captures fans like that. It’s especially crazy considering her solo isn’t out yet. YG needs to make the most of her, that’s for sure.

Your post makes zero sense and is actually offensive to women. There are several situations when it is essential that women have their own spaces, based on biology, especially places like rape crisis centres. Trans women should be treated with respect, everyone should, but there is nothing offensive about pouting out when biological differences leave you at a distinct disadvantage. It’s not safe!

Usually trans athletes get their hormone levels tested to see if their hormones are on the same level as the biological sex they're going up against. The athlete has to meet the NCAA standards, and you guys need to remember that trans athletes vary in skill and physique just like biological male or female athletes. Most of the biologically female athletes complaining outperform trans athletes anyway, so to me it really just looks like transphobia.
This is exactly correct, but people are so afraid and think that biological women are so fragile. Trans girls are girls, not men. If a cis woman had a powerful physique no one would bat an eye, trans women vary in weight and physique too.
There is literally no accurate scientific study that backs this up. There is a reason that trans women who were mediocre as male athletes can suddenly win competitions easily against biological women. The fact you resort to throwing the word transphobia around is proving the OP’s point.

That still wouldn’t work because there are fundamental biological differences that would still mean transgender women are stronger than women, even if they are in the same weight class. Trans men, who never seem to be in this debate, would have no chance against men either.

You are a 100% correct. But people are weaponising the term transphobia to make people stop questioning it and objecting to it. If you are biologically male, you will still retain physical advantages over women even if you take hormones. There is even an MMA fighter who broke their opponent’s skull and said they enjoyed it, but they got no repercussions and were even called “brave”.

This isn’t the first thread in which people have compared the YouTube subs, yet they would go mad if a Lisa fan posted IG stats, which is a much bigger sample size anyway. At the end of the day, Lisa is more popular internationally, Jennie in South Korea.
When did I say she was my fave anyway? Everyone knows Lisa is my bias, but I like all the girls a lot. I don’t need you to tell me who I like and who I don’t because I rightly point out the flaws in a dumb thread. I’m a grown woman, I wouldn’t pretend to like someone if I didn’t. I won’t comment any more because it’s not worth it but they know as well as we do the circumstances are so different. If Lisa started a channel now and promoted it on her birthday, she would pull in huge numbers. But Lisa clearly doesn’t care about numbers anyway!

Ok, but serious convo here: Shippers don't ever really support actually lgbtq+ idols. Hell, some shippers are the most homophobic people ever. Remember that fiasco with Holland and the list of gay idols? Siwon, who is Homophobic was higher than Holland on that "list". Several nugu idols have come out as trans, bi, even asexual, but nobody cares. All of you shippers use gay ships as fetishes, as a way to make your idol unavailable, you claim jikook is gay, but never support, or care about actual gay people.
Agreed. I’m bisexual and the way K pop fans fetishise gay people is disgusting. I’ve lost count of the random things idols have done that get called “gay” and all the dumb ships. The industry doesn’t help with all the fan service. The moment I heard Seulgi and Irene had a sub unit I knew the video would pander to Seulrene shippers. But the few idols who have actually said they are LGBT? They get zero support.

Yes, because it makes sense to compare a YouTube channel created when BP have a way bigger fanbase, that was promoted on Jennie’s IG on her birthday, a channel that was created years ago and that Lisa doesn’t even promote and just randomly uploads videos on occasionally.
