Who says all they have is vocals? If vocals is the only thing in Kpop Mamamoo should be the most famous 3rd gen. SNSD is literally known for a well rounded group, hence why all the members have significantly more active solo activities.

But lets not pretend talent don't help maintain their legacy, when Taeyeon is literally one of the most mentioned role models of many idols because of her talent

Records will be broken and judging by the growth of album sales, more companies having their own distributor for overseas sales, more music/award shows programs, more overseas members, it's really only a matter of time before cumulative album sales, most album sales in a week, most award wins, most no.1 in Japan etc, be broken. So enjoy and remember it while you can when you cry over JYP's inability to include them in his groups achievements

It depends for me. In the past two years I was only a fan of SNSD and Blackpink.

However since mid last year I realise I lost interest in BP more and more. While surprisingly my rekindling interest in SNSD was getting stronger. Both haven't released any new music in a while, much longer for SNSD since they've been in hiatus since 2017. So I don't really mind not getting any new content.

I guess for me it's just the lacking amount of group content that made me lose interest in BP. For SNSD I have a whole 3TB worth of past variety shows, concerts, music shows etc to rewatch. It also helps that the solo careers of SNSD are much more interesting to follow.

The ability and trust to create their own songs. Most of their boygroups are not reliant on their producers.

That's the thing with YG, they're not like SM or JYP that work and collaborate with many producers. Most YG's music are produced by their own internal producers, which now are being highlighted for their flaws more and more. Because 1. their sound is getting more recycled and 2. the acts who rely on those producers release very minimal amount of music.

Most Winner's solo releases are self penned/produced. Same thing with Treasure, Darari is the members' production.

Blackpink and Somi are fully reliant on Teddy and a couple of other producers like R.Tee and Vince. Women should just never sign with YG because they're not going to be given the same amount of trust nor time to harness their skills in music production, which will limit their growth in the future because they will rely on a few of their in house producers.
