Yeah it’s unfortunate but as a singer you only have a certain number of years before you loose “popularity” or relevancy with people. It’s only a matter of time before all singers who are popular now, IU, Taeyeon, BTS, BP, Twice, etc find themselves in a similar position.

Empty house?? Next Level and Savage were released around the same time as Butter and My Universe. IU also released Strawberry Moon and a few other songs recently, SMTM dominated for half the year, BE'O, and Lee Moojin also have several songs in the top 20 as well. Just because there are not a lot of kpop idols doesn't mean it's an empty house.

True, their music is actually really great. Their entire discography is a no skip for me. Only kpop group where I can say that.

Did you really just say she's not popular and her solo didn't do well? She charted extremely well with both songs in Korea and sold over half a million albums..... it's funny when you say YG disregarded Minzy, CL and Lee Hi for other artists when nobody in that company ever has comebacks. One more album and I literally think Enhyphen will have almost as many songs as BP. lol

I can't possibly see why Rose would renew with YG if she's serious about her solo singing career. 0-1 comebacks a year aren't gonna cut it, nor should she settle for that.

When your in a group there’s always going to be members who aren’t as popular and don’t have a lot of fans. I really don’t understand why companies are still accepting gifts at these kinda of fansigns.

While Rose is technically a foreigners she’s still Korean so it’s different if you compare to Twice’s foreign line. If we include foreign Koreans then Tiffany and Jessica would be considered just as popular as Twice’s foreign line. I read so many reviews complaining about the lyrics of Step Back, seems like most people don’t care. Lol

I’m thinking OP means in terms of popularity and overall general public support. In that regard, G-idle does not compare. In terms of talent though, that’s a different story.

Her and Rose upload videos as often as BP has comebacks, haha. But really she looks stunning.

Not everything is about competition. I want SWITHs to have their peace, too. The group and the fandom are in a very good, healthy place right now. The moment they get pitched against other girls and groups is the moment all that disappears.

Nope, not bad at all. I completely understand. But logically it’s not going to happen. It’s evident that StayC is on track to have a successful career, but there will always be a member or two who “stick out” more than the others. I can kinda see them following Twice’s path in regards to all members are promoted equally and have decent popularity and are known but Nayeon-Sana-Tzuyu are the members who are really the most popular and who people think of first.

I really thought after Chungha released Gotta Go and Snapping she’d be set for the next couple years. Obviously i didn’t believe she’d reach IU or Taeyeon level, but I thought her next releases would be very popular. It feels like her and Somi have completely changed places, and I don’t know how Chungha is going to get back to where she once was.

Unfortunate for BVDNT. The company is probably losing money on them so they don’t go forward with any promotions.

Just give them some time. As they release more music, go on more TV shows and start modeling for brands, a few members will really stick out with the public.

Yuna’s popularity has really exploded in the past 1-2 years. The beginning of Karinas popularity was fueled with hate and jealousy, which will always bring in more interest. Wonyoung had produce to help before she debuted.

Her being able to write her SYNK rap and her part in Zoo is a good sign. I truly see no disadvantage in SM letting their artists participate in the writing/ producing process, it just bring more praise to them. I thought maybe money is the issue, but almost all SM songs have foreign or non SM employees participating in the song so that doesn’t make sense.

Soojin's issue legit killed all momentum the group was gaining in Korea., and then the entire group just went on hiatus. This next comeback will be important for sure.

2009- until Twice Cheer Up/ TT

YG seriously needs to get those boys on some tv shows. There an extremely talented group and YG needs to showcase that in other areas.
