If the point of a center is to draw attention, then Xiaoting is it.
-
Money is catchier and has broader appeal.
-
I voted for Xiaoting. Wonyoung's visual is too child-like for me.
-
She has an interesting personality - mostly reserved, but also a bit goofy sometimes and very competitive, as can be seen from her collection of pre-debut TikToks

They should have gone with MVSK as their debut concept - it plays better to the strength of the members.

shen xiao is a filler (for now)
Which is why she is the person on the thumbnail most of the time, right?
The insanity of this claim...it staggers.

Planning a World Tour currently seems like a bad idea, since its hard to guess what travel restrictions will continue to be.

Aretha's Respect was a cover of an Otis Redding song.
I imagine there are many more songs people assume are the original because they are famous that are in fact a cover of a previous song.

This entire discussion is patently absurd.
The group just started on Monday, and people here are judging their entire careers...not a single one of you wasting words here can see the future.
The group already outsold some GG (no, comparisons to Boy Groups, as one person is doing, as absurd) whom have been around for years, so this makes the claim even dumber. If they had sold 20,000 and have weak digitals, it would still be too early to tell, but selling 200,000 and then trying to excuse that away?
As for the members, I often wonder in what weird fantasy land most of you live, thinking you a) are able to accurate judge even skill, to say nothing of talent b) that your judgement is anything other than a subjective personal preference. These members are generally indistinguishable from the dozens of other young women of similar ages in the other dozen GG's out there.
At the end of the day, what will determine success or not is getting that hit song with good promotion, which may or may not happen, but no one typing here can actually tell which one it will be.
Personally, I would have preferred MVSK to be the title song, but what can one do?

Yea the company messed up big time. They should’ve utilized her more in the debut and look where we are. Hopefully their comeback does better.
Sorry, its obvious you are a Bahiyyih stan, but this comment is just silly. Giving her a few more lines in the same song would have changed nothing, unless you want to claim they didn't turn out for her debut, which doesn't seem then like they are very good fans.

LVER charted decently though… Like it remained on all charts for much longer
also Kep1er got 200k pre orders
they broke the record for first day sales but the second day’s were 5k, their total sales are going to be a little above 200k
Meaning they will have sold more units in one go that plenty of other GG's discussed here, CLC being one.
Maybe they will make it, maybe they will remain nugu - three days away from their debut seems a bit absurd. Just ask Brave Girls.

I think the premise of the show, however badly executed at the end, caught on internationally, and of course you could watch most of it on Youtube, which made it easy.

All I am getting from this thread is that a lot of Kpop "fans" are needy, sort of obnoxious people whom want their "idols" to beg them for love before giving it. If I had the chance not to hang out with such people, I sure wouldn't.
None of us have a personal relationship with these idols. The relationship is commercial, measure in money, or in "engagement" which matters only because it also leads to money. Pay for what you get and move on. Demanding an actual relationship is creepy.

Watching Kpop stans here attempt to discuss real issues is really both embarrassing and depressing.

Given they are not being segregated by nationality and are likely a minority of the total trainees, they should get less disapproval, though they will have to be exceptional (specially the two Chinese girls) to have a chance if the picking is to be done by voters.
-
Who cares who is center? South Korean love their Chaehyun while I-fans don't care much about her overall. Who is center won't change that, and its not like being center will change that difference in tastes.
-
Just based on performance talent, she was one of the very best out of the 99 trainees. I think she should try a solo career - I think she would be overpowering in a group, unless all the other members are equally as exceptional.

What would be scary is if any of these two idols ended up disappearing. This wouldn't be the first time that somebody in China disappeared for supposed "tax evasion"...
Why is tax evasion in quotes? People to commit tax evasion.
