I think people need to separate the two issues - a dating scandal is just a publicity issue. Tax evasion is a legal matter with criminal penalties attached.

She was great, and I hope this helps her solo career in China some.
I first really noticed her on YWY2 with how well she did on the "Ambush in all Sides 2" performance:

I thought people did complain. Were half of the trainees Japanese on that show?
-
I agree it turned out to be a bad idea, but I find putting the blame on I-fans also problematic.
The shows leading to Izone and X1 were not marketed as "here comes a global group!", a boast then backed up by having 2/3 of the participants not being South Korean. If you look at I-fan votes, they still would have left the K-group with the most members of the lineup, though it would have been 4K-3C-2J. Korean voters would have given us 8K-1J. I find it hard to blame I-fans then for the theme of the show failing.

She'll be fine honestly, she'll benefit from debuting for sure. Also yeah, having international fans vote was a recipe for disaster from the start.
I don't think international fans voting was "the problem", given that clearly the few South Koreans watching this show were not open to the idea that 2/3 of the trainees participating should even be given a chance to debut. That to me seems a far bigger problem when it comes to the design of the show.

Outside factors will always play a factor in a survival show, Bahi just got a bigger advantage. People need to deal with it.
I don't disagree, but honestly, the final outcome of this show in general was such a shit show overall.
Clearly the overall concept of the show did not really work out with the South Korean public.
As for Bahiyyih, I honestly don't think she adds anything special, but she is also not a liability, and its a nine person groups, so whatever.

People watched her because they liked her, not that big of a concept to understand. People denying that are being obtuse.
Yes, but that is not the issue. The issue is why people like her, and given how little the show gave her in terms of attention, clearly what drew many was not what she was putting out in the show specifically. Now, people are free to like whomever, but people who invested in a show (perhaps stupidly) might understandably dislike that non-show related circumstances played such a crucial role in the outcomes for the participants.

Icy I'm quoting you because this is ridiculous. This is not just directed to you but to everyone that is so adamant in pushing this narrative that most of this girl's vote were from MOAs. If that were the case, then why is Kai's views lower than hers?

It doesn't make sense for MOAs to go ham on streaming her fancams and not Kai's. Your 95% claim does not fit this narrative.
Comparing those two fancams in particular makes no sense. One of them is on M2, which doesn't get that much traffic, and the one you picked specifically was a fancam that was part of a mission, so fans were given a reason to specifically seek out that fancam so they could like it.
That said, Bahiyyih's fancams were consistently among the most watched compared to most of the other contestants from the show

I mean, its a 9 person team...thinking that two of them are relatively uninteresting, or at worst, there, is hardly the worst thing in the world.

Sending hate to someone from one of these shows is stupid, period.
That out of the way, I can understand why many fans of the show are unhappy. As others have noted, she had little screen time in the show, so someone whose only exposure to any of these trainees was this show would find the outcome strange. Now, most fans came in with knowledge of many of these trainees from the outside, so there will always be competing fan bases, and clearly hers was the largest, but it is also clear it is a fanbase that predates, or is tangential to the show.
I personally think she is going to be fine, though in the final 16 there are several other girls who displayed significantly greater skills than her and got eliminated - which is just one of the endless additional pieces of evidence that at the end, it is never skill that decides these survival shows, no matter how much all stans lie to themselves about it.

Same goes to everyone. Some of the girls get quite same benefits. She get the attention from her brother, but she secure her own fans later and those who stay with genuinely like her not because of her brother. And I heard she used to have yt channel and tik tok too. People can get curious and find her singing video from any other sources and like her. She pass at least the first stage of audition from many big companies, make people check on her too, and prove she is talented.
She's not even in my top 9, but seeing people keep coming to her like she didn't have her real fans is nonsense.
I don't question that she has fans - she clearly did, based on the voting. But to me this is a lesson in why pick 1 voting is a poor way to structure a TEAM, and I still hope her fans make her presence worthwhile to the team
-
When did she have time to develop a fandom of her own not tied to her familial status? Cause the show gave her as little screen time as possible.
-
The lineup as is is not a total disaster - the three original centers making it in makes things less terrible that it could have been.
Wonder if all those TXT fans will actually show up with their money in the future.

I think its a terrible name - yes, clever astronomy reference, but that is going to help the team.
