Are students forced to study to midnight or 3am by their parents in your country ? If yes, in which country do you live ?

"forced" - I don't think any country forces students to study that late
it may as a result of societal pressures or whatnot but forced???
asian parents

never, im american.
they encourage studying hard but they also want me to be in bed by 10 usually. sometimes i stay up way past on my own because of school/wasting time though

I live in Australia and I wouldn't know as I'm not a student. Unless they are parents with high expectations, I would think not, they should be in bed getting enough sleep.
I would bet in Australia, many people would view "forcing" young people to stay up until 3am as abusive.
I know teachers in many schools, upon hearing anything like that, would probably trigger mandatory reporting of suspected abuse.

I'm actually talking about the students themselves who prefer to stay up rather than go to bed early especially if they're studying for the HSC. I was not referring to the parents so therefore it's not abuse.

I'm in year 11 studying for the hsc and I know a lot of students who stay up past 2am studying/completing assignments. Some of them have bad time management, but others do tutoring. Parents don't necessarily keep their kids up late, but I know some do force them to do extra curriculum/pick a certain subject (I know a girl who's parents forced her to do all three sciences)/tutoring. A lot of these kids abuse themselves and put themselves over the edge. Which is wild, cause I never thought it would happened, like we don't see it in the media and shit

That's exactly what I said, it's the kids who do it to themselves. I didn't say that the parents force them to stay up to all hours but some parents have quite high expectations on their kids to do well and like them to study a lot. I have done the HSC myself many moons ago but I went to bed at a reasonable time so I could be fresh for my exams.

I honestly wonder what my peers do to stay up all night?? Are they that busy??? Cause I study and go to sleep at a reasonable time

in Poland in some cases that would end with... parents death
nothing like that here,
also one more thing seen some of you writing about HSC
maybe it's worth to use something like high school ending diploma or college graduation papers
because in different countries things like that have different names
Not even countries it's different states lmao. The hsc is like the final exams for NSW, we have two years (Year 11, preliminary course, and Year 12, the actual course) to study for it

and you did it again
I don't know what is NSW lol...
I guess you are talking about certificate/diploma/paper that you get after end of high school, judging by the years of education

to compare in Poland it's bit tricky
for example I was in technical high school
so at the end you have so, so many subjects
but you don't learn all of them for full 4 years of high school
some start in 1st year and last for 2-3 years, and some start in 3rd year and last for that 3rd and last 4th year.
so you are passing from year to year, and at end of 4th year you receive papers with scores from all those grades and subjects, but that's just one side of a story, you can graduate from high school with it, but if you want to go to university or college you need to pass series of written/oral exams for which you receive special, additional certificate.

how to say it easier way:
think of it that you are learning electrotechnics for 2 years and then it ends and in it's place in 3rd and 4th year you learn automation
or other example
you have civics for 3 years and it ends, and in last year of school you don't have anything in it's place :)
