Do you think gross Kpop fanfics/imagines should be allowed? (Poll)

  • ?? 25

    1. No (21) 84%
    2. Yes (4) 16%

It's so nasty :pepe-cross: If you want to write things like that, make up your own characters or make it about not-real people, like anime characters. :pepe-puddle: I can't look for gifs on tumblr in peace without ''[Idol] reaction to you [BLEEEP] imagine'' showing up :pepe-slash:

Please no one actually talk about the 18+ things that happen in the fanfics, just agree or disagree :uh-uh-bunny:

  • No and the fact that some people do this kind of stuff grosses me out. Being an idol does not mean you consent to being sexualised in this kind of way. And what’s even more disconcerting is that some people eat this content up

  • I don’t have to be comfortable with it for me to argue that it has the right to exist. If they’re underage and featuring in weird stories that’s creepy and a separate discussion but otherwise I think they have the right to exist.

Tbh for people celebs are fictional because they’re so far away. Don’t write creepy stories about your neighbor but I’m not too bothered by celebs. I just block the tweet fic accounts on twitter and live my life. Whatever helps you cope with your life you do you.

Somethings will always exist in fandom spaces and it doesn’t have to mean anything more than that.

  • No. These are real people and several idols are underage. I can’t even begin to imagine how gross and violated one would feel if they read something about them that made them feel violated.

    I disagree.

I don't think proximity to the real person or popularity of the real person matters. Your neighbor, your mother, your bias in a Kpop group are all real people. Celebrities are not fictional. They are real people with emotions and hopes and dreams.

Writing filth that puts them in degrading, sexualized, or compromised positions that they never agree upon is invasive and disgusting.

I left my heart in LA again. Please continue taking good care of it.

  • I want to preface with saying that I don't read fanfics with real people in them. They weird me out and I agree that they're creepy.

But I also don't think they're that big of a deal and worth forbidding.

Forbidding expression of sexuality never really works out and a lot of celebrities popularity is partly built on people being attracted to them. Unless we all become asexual stuff like this will exist

Should it be encouraged? No. But it's not worth making a fuss about

Especially as so many fans literally send this shit to idols, or tag them in it on IG etc. It's really gross. That's how I feel about shipping. Of course appreciated friendships is fine, but people convincing themselves two idols are together and then bothering idols about it is so invasive.

  • i always ignore those tumblr imagines ur talking about and i also find them annoying like these horny people need to calm down.

But in ao3 i read a lot of 18+ stuff in the past and i still do ocasionally and i dont think theres anything wrong with that because its just a complete fabrication about a very abstract version of an idol that someone sees in their head. :pepe-shrug:

  • I really don't see the problem with a lot of RPF fanfics, including the ones with romance, If It's a lighthearted romance (or other genre) story where the character's persona is harmless to the celebrity's reputation. It's easier to respect a boundarie between real life and a fictional story using a name and a face of a famous person on it only when It happens.

But there are many stories where the idols are murderers, rapists, abusive partners, pedophilies and a lot of other creepy stuff. This is too much to me to exist and connect their image to that.

    pepe-ooh

  • that's the kind of the thing that's hard to ban or disallow but i do think it's gross. writing fanfics about fictional characters is fine because they aren't real, but writing fanfics about celebrities or idols is pretty nasty. none of those people can consent to it and you just know that if they ever came across it it would feel incredibly degrading and dehumanizing. if you love your idols like you claim, you wouldn't disrespect them by treating them like they aren't human beings

istg a while ago i remember seeing a chenle fic on wattpad that was literally a smut THE DAY FUCKING AFTER he became and adult, and i was like what the actual fuck? like these people are counting down to release creepy stuff like this

I first misread the title and voted for yes 🤓 thankfully i reread it and thankfully ghostings allowed us to change votes.

NO. They are real people, not fictional characters. It's not in their job description to feel violated. Somebody is imagining you and explicitly describing sexual acts that you do; or drawing said acts and you never consented. Terrifying and disgusting.

that is literally DISGUSTING. And the fact that GROWN ASS ADULTS are doing legal countdowns should be outlawed. That is so gross.
