The narrative around bp really shifted this past year

    I remember after the album bp were seen as a near invincible group. No gg is ever touching them no bg except bts is what they would say. Back then ppl used to put bp name with bts like ‘bts/bp are an anomaly…’ and what not


    But now after this past year with all the new ggs that popped up, twice success internationally. And bts becoming more dominant than any other kpop act. Seems like bp is a lot more touchable,e now for ggs, twice is breaking their us tour numbers, aespa even gidle breaking bp digital records and scoring hits bigger than them. Stray kids getting closer to them global. Bts who has flown past all kpop groups bp is like a ant next to them.


    Yg was not smart about this hiatus because now the whole kpop world has moved on without them.

    Blackpink always have long hiatuses, and after a while each time the concern trolling starts - "I fear their fans are gone", "Other groups are bigger now, such a shame", etc, etc. And each time they come back bigger than before. Lisa is one quarter of Blackpink and she is officially a million seller in the USA. And it's not because her songs were so amazing, it's because she's from Blackpink. Just wait and see...


    And by the way JYP lied about Twice's tour numbers and that came out. I believe they'll overtake Blackpink once they have their next date.

    It always happens when bp are away for too long and this hiatus has been damn looong. Certain gg fandom get out of the cave to drag bp when they can't even beat most of their 2018 stats. I anticipate bp will shatter records even harder than 2020

    sorry mate but Rosé´s and Lisa´s solos numbers, made them even more unreachable than before

    if they can make those numbers alone, as Bp they are shielded

    also, bp & bts have never been in the same league & it's funny they were always categorised together bc they were the only real succesful kpop groups in the west... bts is doing drake/the weekend/Adele numbers since 2020. don't think you would compare bp with those acts either.

    Well first of all congrats to Twice for breaking the US tour record of a less than 3 year old group with 13 songs seven years into their career lol


    And second of all yass BP flops is this what you weirdos need to hear to go back to where U came from and stop writing essays about an inactive group

    BP is fine. Their next comeback will do great.


    Rose's and Lisa's solos did amazing so I'm sure as a group they'll be fantastic.

    I get that Onces are feeling bolstered and getting vocal again and ready to pick up the Blink-Once fanwars again, with TWICE's bit of international success.


    But let's at least wait till Blackpink have their comeback again before getting too confident that TWICE can beat them in international popularity.

    How is gidle breaking BP records? I get the aespa one with the most weeks in top 10 of melon for 1 song, but BP still so much ahead of both, specially for gidle, they ain't beating any BP record. Also twice didn't break the record until jyp pulled out the encore stages and mediaplayed them as stadium, BP still by a huge margin the gg leaders in the US, TA did half a year in bb200, twice barely passes the 10 weeks with their latest 2 releases, BP still have 7 entries as a group on the hot 100, twice barely did 1 and it peaked at 84, which is lower than any other BP release except for KAMU. Don't see how they are getting close to touch them

    You can't speak for all Onces. In fact, a lot of the most agressive, fight-hungry people eager to bash other groups and other fandoms are Onces. Simply check the fight threads. You can even see it in anon: smileys aren't anonymous, you know, and they tell their own story.

    There were times that BP were doing better in Spotify than BTS. But with the absurd hiatuses between comebacks and minimal music-related activity inbetween, a lot of that momentum got lost.


    But even now, BP has MV's that surpass all BTS' MV in youtubes and likes and BP are at least BTS' equals in the social media game if not surpass them on several social media platforms.
