But looking at the first criteria there is Lunarsolar, Secret Number, woo!ah, Xum.
That’s some of the smaller groups I know of.
I was actually considering Secret Number when they debuted. But didn't they disband after their second release?

1. 6 members max (although 5 preferred)
2. 50% girl crush 50% cute. f(x) perfect example of hitting this sweetspot.
3. 2 members I want to marry (scratch that. cant use this in 2022. groups too young)
4. A group that peak popularity will reach top 10 but never top 5 (top 5 too successful).
5. Group that makes me feel superior cause nobody else talks about them very much.
These all sound about right for you. Describes the types of groups you go for really well.

With the Western expansion of modern kpop, groups that get too big tend to cater more to Western sensibility.
I'm more likely to find the types of groups I like in smaller groups now who aren't big enough that they make that Western push and pivot.

Yes. I made a thread the other day saying if my favorite group blew up in the West I would drop them immediately. Even if it was f(x). This was an exaggeration obviously but you get what I mean. Once you blow up in the West you don't make music for real kpop fans anymore. You have a new audience you are now aiming at.

Yeah some if his criteria are contradictory, like he just made them so he does not have to stan anyone.
Like top 10 but not top 5, that filters out basically every group exempt Itzy and Mamamoo.
