Honestly, I love everything about the song, but I can why see it would be a disappointment for both casual listeners and even some longtimers.
Just trying to see things from a different perspective here... Reasons why you might not like the song:
- The chorus isn't as memorable as their previous ballads
- Unusual song structure / no real bridge
- Not a club bop, what many have come to expect of BIGBANG
To me, those are fine. It's not a catchy song at all, but I don't think that's the point of the song.
In my opinion, GD and T.O.P.'s self-written verses were the highlights. The lyrics hold significance to their personal lives while also being relatable for listeners. As a side note, I think that's one of the reasons why BIGBANG's ballads tend to do so well.
