4th Gen Groups that sing live? (at least most of the time)

  • If I were to be generous, the hardcore choreo performing groups can possibly sing their first verses live but after that they wouldn't be able to physically produce the sounds we're hearing.

Well, here you go. Stray Kids sing live where they can. Although some members let occasional lines go to pre-recording, the majority of the time is live all sing live the whole way through, You can easily tell due to the doubled vocals and ad libs.

This is also completely live - no prerecording what so ever apart from the chorus Na Na bit which is basically an instrumental.

  • TXT is one of the groups that can sing live. About the music programs, I will only say that it is not 100% live.

  • All groups use pre recording. But some groups actually try to sing over their pre recording as much as they can to make those stages worth something like Skz, Treasure, Ateez etc.

They have to use pre recording tho. There is nothing wrong with that as long as they don't blatantly lip sync without even trying. Actually there was a video of Chan explaining this. Here let me post it.

  • It looks like pre-recording to me except for Changbin's first verse. This is from my POV. I'm not saying it's truth.

They’re literally holding microphones and belting into the instrumental. Objectively, that’s live.

Bang Chan has also confirmed that they sing live whenever they can on VLIVE:

  • Correlation does not equal to causation.

The vocal doubling makes it live. If it was pre-recorded, you’d hear one straight vocal line. If there’s another vocal line separate from the pre-recorded track, it’s live. Also, the way you’ve selectively cut the bit where I say they’re belting into the microphone takes the statement out of context.

You can’t pre-record those adlibs throughout the song. You could, but you’d have to have a perfect balance between the microphones and the backtrack which never happens. Objectively, Stray Kids sing live. Often, they sing on top of pre-recorded vocals.

If you want to justify why you think it’s prerecorded, then give me some evidence apart from randomly taking my statements of context and making subtle comments with no clear objectivity.

  • Most of the singing in this is just a loud back track. For me this is no different than a lip sync. Yeah their mic’s are on but this is not really what I would showcase for “live”. It’s not possible to have clean lives with heavy choreo.

What are you trying to show me I’m not sure lol.

  • I feel like live singing has more or less become obsolete with heavy emphasis on performance and difficult choreo. Mostly kpop lives these days are rappers with mic’s on and heavy back track. So even the ones that are live feel like a let down.
