It's def the pedal to the medal part that makes you think like this

I'm not really familiar with exo bsides so for me anything from SM is pretty based on their titles and structure they use which is very prevalent btw their groups, BUT I def can see what you mean... I think they have very similar voices tbh, or some way of singing. YG and their past acts had either a very distinctive way of singing or their trainees were instructed to copy their top acts like Bom, GD etc and Treasure comes as a surprise.

Song wise they have very YG songs for title, but their bsides are very watered down YG, they could go stronger :P

treasure has YG vibes but softer maybe the slower songs reminds you of exo but I personally don't see it

If you mean young EXO I think I get what you mean. This time YG had their focus on harmonizing voices rather than distinctive voices. With a big group like this obviously the better option.

I'm one of those people who were saying they remind me of EXO. I LOVE EXO but Im a huge fan of the YG vibe as well. Musically they don't remind me of EXO in general(there are exceptions). But their group dynamics, personalities, friendship, vocals and variety skills really remind me of EXO.
