II. Career
Bang Yedam was part of the second season of the reality show "K-pop Star". He placed second. He signed a contract with YG Entertainment to be a trainee on June 2013.
Bang Yedam also on JYP's survival show "Stray Kids" in 2017 on episode 6 for the "JYP vs. YG" showdown. He participated against the YG trainees in a performance battle.
Bang Yedam later participated in YGE's survival show "YG Treasure Box" in 2018. He was announced to be part of Treasure's lineup on the last episode.
YGE announced on January 29, 2019 they would form a second group from the show MAGNUM. MAGNUM and Treasure would promote as separate units, and as one group TREASURE 13. Their debut, however, was post-phoned due to controversies with the agency.
YGE announced on January 6, 2020 that the two units would form just one group Treasure, and promote as the one group.
Bang Ye Dam was revealed to be releasing a solo single by YGE on May 21. The single was set to release in June. It was decided to be released before Treasure's debut as a "surprise gift" to the fans. His single "Wayo" came out on June 5.
Treasure debuted on August 7, 2020 with the release of their single album "THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE" on August 7.
