So regading mix-genre pop songs(AKA NMIXX or SMP), which type of it do you prefer?

Take out eyes or whatever the fuck OO is that was Next Leveruell trash don't include that with any sm songs it's insulting

Sherlock is considered mix-genre

Eitherway I prefer smooth transitions.I'm not mad at abrupt changes,but so far there hasn't been a song from that realm that really stuck with me.

I prefer the smoother blends for sure. Abruptness can feel too much most times but they can work out like in IGAB and Next Level!

Smooth or abrupt is subjective though. For example, I consider Next Level to work smoothly because I think the transitions are well done, I can't say the same about IGAB for example.

Me too,Sherlock is one of my favorite kpop songs. The smoother mix is better. So the melody of the song sounds more harmonious to my ears. One also is good example, though I like the Infinity version more, but One is very well mixed.

Smooth even though IGAB and Next level are among my favourites

idk I think it depends on what you're used to listening. I usually don't listen to songs that have a change of sounds/ what some might call experimental music, so savage is already 'mixed' to me but not enough that it's jarring (it was on first listen tho)

Savage change of sound is on the naevis part but it's very subtle, it goes well with the rest of the song and it's a short segment, there isn't a "what is going on?" moment comparing it to next level where the change of genre is pretty noticeable. I'd not include savage on this list.

Personally I wouldn't call aespa music experimental, black mamba and savage are normal songs (if you like them or not that's another story). Next level has that change of sound but it's just very minimal to call it experimental. NCT127 are the one doing more experimental music than aespa. Aespa have their own personal sound tho that some could confuse it with experimental and experimental =/= own sound

I don't really have a preference, both can be done well and not so well

I really don't find sherlock and infinity mix pop?? both of the songs are designed beforehand to go well together when you mix them.

IGAB, NEXT Level and O.O. yes I agree. My favourite is IGAB
