Well... I don't.
It depends on the person I guess
-
Personally, the incel-types have sort of ruined the word for me 👀
Like, I immediately associate it with them

I would not object to being called a dudette
-
Yes. It’s kind of dehumanizing in a sense. Like, I have a name tf lmao-
-
yes

-
Not really, I just think it's another word for women so I use both interchangeably

Yeah, this one is where it's at. Once you reach dudette status, you're basically invincible.

That's exactly how I see it. Maybe I don't spend enough time around incels for the negative connotation to have rubbed me the wrong way just yet and for that to be the first place my mind goes. I just shrug it off and move on. It's a specific word that can be used to describe me, as well as half of the humans on here. Not a big deal to me at all. That being said, I can understand why certain people don't like it and I can respect that.
On a side note, one thing that surprises me is how close this poll is. I expected only a few people to dislike the term at all, but it seems pretty evenly split so far. Very interesting. Have a great day/night!

It's exactly 50/50 now 👀
Wish I'd turned on the participants

Would have made the drama that will inevitably flock to this poll much more entertaining.

I don't think I've ever seen a word that gives me a more polarizing sense of both laughter and vomit

I will be side eyeing any man who uses it regularly

Yes. There’s a difference between saying “female patients” or “female users” and using it as an adjective.
Dudes that use it is as a noun have in my experience used as a lead-in to some sort of misogynistic fuckery. It is essentially become shorthand for bitch.
“These females want to get up in my face.”
Shit like this:

Would this kind of dude call his mama “ a female”? Your grandma? No. No, he wouldn’t.

There's a noun to describe female human beings - women. Men who always say "females" instead usually do it for a reason. I barely see anyone that's not misogynistic say it. Many men use it to dehumanize and boil women down to their sex organs. This is why many don't like it now.
I'll vote yes since I definitely associate it negatively nowadays and see it as a red flag. Though of course context matters

Why would I get offended? That is what I am.

I don't get called any derogatory names so it still doesn't offend me.
