They decided to collaborate with Big Hit now since they have BTS and are now diversifying, they have huge potential.

Also, the one who asked (not begged wtf) SM about SuperM was Capitol Group which is one of their many subsidiaries, not UMG directly.

Oh BH dropped Sony for UMG? Well that’s a really good news! Sony was really bad and kept marking up the album prices, right? I saw many European ARMYs complaining about it.

BH is just being a normal company. Good luck to them. Just make sure BTS is still well cared and promoted, and I’m fine with whatever BH wants to do.

I don't know but I really hope so, Sony is so bad, their prices are honestly a scam at that point

If you took Big Hit, SM, YG, and JYP and combined them all....the company you would have would be still much smaller than UMG. UMG can play the field, given it accounts for a third of global music revenues.

Big hit seems to be selling their "BTS success recipe" to other companies very well.
