Why are certain groups not liked by company stans

    In YG, for example, company stans rarely stan BP and sometimes outright dislike them


    In SM, most Exo-ls do not seem to be company stans, compared to NCT and Aespa at least


    In JYP, I can't really say but I feel like company stans talk a lot more about ggs


    Why is that? I'm most curious about EXO and SM stans tbh

    In BP's case they were getting crap from blackjacks since pre-debut when they weren't at fault for their faves being problematic nor YG's decisions. Vips were the only fandom showing some support towards them.


    In short, BP were forced to create their own following without much help from YG stans and they did to an extent nobody anticipated. Nowadays most blinks not only aren't YG stans but they aren't even k-pop stans. They have so many fans that stan them and them alone

    Most of the exols are company stans I remember when nct debuted everyone one of them around me became nctzen.

    I think that's a false assumption and that the situation is different.


    There's groups where many fans mostly like 1 group and no other groups of the same company - but don't outright dislike those other groups and their fandoms => like ARMY, EXO-L, Blinks


    Then there's groups where a large number of their fans actively disliked other groups of the same company and their fandoms => like ELF did with SNSD and EXO, EXO-L with NCT and Ikonics and Innercircles.


    Then there's groups where their fans really like more groups of the same company (but not necessarily all) => like how fans can like both BTS and TXT, or how fans like more SM girl groups, or how fans like more JYP (girl) groups, or how many Blackjacks became Blinks.


    Usually the fans that really like multiple groups of the same company have the same subset of groups they like, that excludes the older groups and the less popular groups of that company.

    If you define someone a 'company stan' who likes more than 1 group of the same company, then the reason that company stans or multigroup stans often neglect the older and less active groups, is because those multigroup stans often focus on the latest and/or most popular groups within that company.


    Like how 'JYP stans' really seem to like TWICE, ITZY and Stray Kids .

    And how 'SM stans' really seem to like Aespa, SNSD, NCT and/or Red Velvet.

    And how 'HYBE stans' really seem to like BTS and TXT.

    YG, I don't know, I've hardly seen any 'YG stans' around lately. But in the past YG stans really loved 2NE1, Big Bang and Lee Hi.

    If someone threat to their main faves they don't support. If a group is not competition to main faves then they stan. Snsd stans supporting aespa. They did not support fx or rv because they fx debuted when snsd were the biggest and rv were like replacement for snsd. Aespa is not comeptition to snsd so they stan. Suju shinee were each others competition. Exo was replacememt for suju so elves didn't support exo but are supporting nct. Because they are not competition to suju or shinee. Sones did not support exo because the were competing for no1 with each other but they are supporting nct. No yg group is competition to each other so they all support everyone except ikon and winner. Blinks don't support treasure because they don't have yg sound but blinks support all other yg acts. You saw ikon n gd threads other day. There were only blinks in that. Jyp stans same not competition to each other. Got7 debuted when 2pm was done. Skz debited when got7 was declining. Hybe stans support everyone because there are enough armys out there. Hybe is distributing armys smartly. Txt have bright side of bts enhypen get dark side of bts. Now trainee a get hiphop side of bts. Armys choose who they want and support.
