What happened to just dancing, singing and looking good

KPOP is supposed to be fun enough with these deep crap bs. It was fun when groups like LOONA, aespa, BTS, etc did it but I'm starting to notice that it's REALLY starting to get repetitive. I don't think I've noticed a concept take over the KPOP scene so mich since...idk the girl crush takeover in 2018? But even then that was mostly limited to GGs.

I noticed that out of the big4 4th gen GGs that have debuted or that are set to debut, BaeMon and ITZY will probably be the only ones who don't have this lore bs

Anyway just a rant Obviously I know this is a result of capitalism, that when a concept or idea works for one act the rest of the industry will follow but yeah....

okay, serious response now lol:

i agree- to some extent. but honestly, this is just another thing for fans to enjoy and look forward to. like as a MY im like constantly excited for new comebacks because im lowkey like okay what now.

but seeing different groups do it, i realized some companies make it lowkey cringe and do not execute it well at all.

in the end, its all to attract attention and keep the fans from losing interest. everyone loves a good story

The only ones i know about is EXO's superpower thing and aespa's naevis.

I don't pay attention to them, i just listen to the songs. you can totally ignore all these storylines and it will still be enjoyable to stan the group. i heard NCT has a lore but i don't even know what it is

Only storylines I keep up with is TXT's, LOONA's, and Billlie's storylines. Starting to get disinterested in the loonaverse because it seems like BBC abandoned it but I have some hope because of the Hula Hoop mv

That's not what I meant But I mean like...KPOP used to mostly focused on music, visuals, etc, etc it feels useless to add this random lore to the checklist. It'll only be a matter of time before people are going to get tired of it and want something new.

People say "just ignore it" but what if you stan aespa where virtually everything is centered around the lore eye-

Respectfully disagree. I enjoy these concepts a lot. Even if it's superficial it makes the song more interesting and rewatchable.

Plus they go crazy with the visuals on these mvs and I'm here for it. Like movie frame worthy shots.

Everyone is inspired by loona and it’s not looking good for them because once lore takes over like GC they will just end like another group...

I agree I find it funny it’s just kpop no need to be that deep, they just be half ass the concept with just random words and more bs.

It’s interesting when groups like billie, loona...are doing it bc they clearly put effort here but the rest well...
