JK fender bender. I think the press wanted to fry JK as some kind of reckless driver or drunk. Big Hit immediately release a statement making sure the other party was checked out at the hospital and was fine, very little damage to either vehicle, and that a bus parked illegally was to blame for JK and the other driver trying to pass it.

if anything it shows how just ignoring or not commenting on anything and letting everything blow over in a few weeks, are in many cases better than responding or issuing statements/clarifications which often just makes things worse.

I think some small companies would deny everything and rush to say it's fake, warning to sue the people who accused him without fact checking first . Or they wouldn't take it seriously and ignore the accusations or would lie about it. With Hyunjin they actually proved that he wasn't a bully afterwards and let him apologize. They were honest about it and didn't lie about it. They didn't rush it and didn't make the hiatus too long, cause a very long hiatus would make him seem guilty

dunno tf was going on with kmedia at that time, but they were so desperate to get jk into a scandal
i remember western media & some big social accounts trying too, but hybe handled it well
