Can you imagine two kpop male idols starring as leads in a subtle BL drama (like The Untamed)?

A former idol was a BL lead recently but I doubt we'll see any active ones. At least not for a while sadly :c

but if it were to happen and the idols are comfortable doing it then i would love to watch it the untamed is so good

i don't think Kpop idols will accept a role like this. Kdramas these days are making little progress with LGBTQ+ side characters

I didn't get the hype with this drama. I stopped watching when the two main leads first met (I think) in a school/training kinda place where you are not supposed to drink alcohol. I think they fought on the roof or something like that. can't really remember

You didnt watch the best parts. It (this part you watched) was like just introduction of characters. In that part even the plot didnt start.

the untamed since they don't kiss seems boring though

but if k idols started doing BL dramas for real and my faves were doing it wether they did anything physical or not i would def watch

Btw, it seems that Korea is strict about those things. Years ago I watched quite explicite (for Asian standards) scenes of BL in Thai dramas. If you like it, you should definitely search for Thai LGBTQ+ dramas. They have a lot of great once!

I watched Hormones. It is more about teens who are dealing with different problems while they are in high school. From not having money to having AIDS since birth and finding out that they are gay. It is cool and doesnt show a lot of things, mostly just how they are dealing with it.

Love sick... I am not sure, I think that I didnt finish it. Dont remember why...

And Addicted Heroin which is great imo.

I only watched two thai dramas: TharnType (bad experience, it was such an abusive relationship) and 2gether (cute, i like the plot, but it's too clean, it looks like a bromance)

P. S Those who are unaware of The Untamed, it's a C-drama, about two boys (in love but so subtle that you can pass it as friendship as well) and it was extremely popular. (I'd highly recommend if you are looking for a drama to watch, it's addictive bcoz of the leads even though its flawed, sharing the trailer just in case)

It’s like a one sided love. The white uptight guy likes the dark one and they basically kissed each other in the novel

Yeah.. The Untamed was really enjoyable and it took me long time to move on.. hahahaha.

To answer OP's question: No one for now. I don't think korean ready to accept BL-themed drama/movie yet. And thus, no actors/idols are dare enough to take that kind of role.

And oh, speaking of BL, you guys should watch this taiwan movie 'Your Name Engraved Herein'. It's such a good (and painful) movie

This Untamed show was so popular I saw it everywhere a while ago even though i never searched about it
