Has/Will Monsta X renew?

(Edited cuz I'm really curious what you guys think about MX renewal. But first, look at the LE badge lol)

3ne did a fantastic job! I'm so thankful for all of y'all that voted to help get this badge made. Monsta X's contract is up in May and Minhyuk is going to be enlisting soon, so I don't know what will happen. Speculation is that they re-signed since they just postponed the tour until May/June. I don't know if that's true, but I'm crossing my fingers.

Anyway, if you would like to own an MX LE badge, I encourage you to buy this one. It might be the first, last, and only.

So, what do you guys think? Think they renewed?

I think so too. It's funny cuz I wouldn't be so confident like a year and a half ago. I remember there being a lot of speculation that Starship wanted to disband them and that they just weren't going to support MX and let them wither until their contract was up. Wonho was gone. Jooheon was on hiatus for mental health. But look what happened! They came back strong and Starship has really been supporting them. Since mid-2020, we got Fantasia X, One of a Kind, No Limit, and The Dreaming. They had a concert film (in theaters!). They did Jingle Ball and will be going on tour.

The tour speculation makes sense right? Why would they postpone the tour for after when their contract ends if they aren't renewing? Or could they just do some kind of special add on just for the tour....

Also, I upgraded to 9th row seats! Woot! Can't wait!!

Omg how amazing would that be! And they could release solos and group projects like Got7 is doing. Wouldn't kfans be okay with it? Wonho was cleared long ago...

Starship has every reason to renew them because they're still doing extremely well. They're not as flashy as other boy groups, but they are strikingly consistent in terms of sales, their tours do extremely well, and they're very much in demand on various shows. Losing that revenue would be a blow because while IVE is blowing up, they're still rookies so things are uncertain for them right now and having a veteran group with a loyal fanbase would just be a boon to them.

As for the members, with Jooheon producing their title tracks and getting results they are basically going to be in charge for their musical direction. The members have been booked and busy for months now as well with several of them branching out into new territory. I also just feel like they very much want to stay together as a group.

I agree. Yes, Jooheon getting a great result for Rush Hour and the album selling well with a bunch of other member-penned bsides makes me very optimistic that we'll see them renew with a contract that gives them a lot of artistic freedom. They don't get talked about much here and they're not pulling top tier numbers, but they're still doing well and I'm excited to see what else they have for us in the future. And you're right, I don't get the sense that they're wanting to break apart yet thankfully.
