Stayc song battle - So bad vs ASAP vs Stereotype

i'm so confused by people hating asap, it's the song that got me into stayc :shyy:

Boring and generic. I feel like any GG coulda come out with this. The choreo during the post chorus is literally the only part i watch.

But So Bad is retro done perfect. Verses, chorus, and that heavenly bridge/outro with the cute af choreo. It coulda been SOTY in 2020 and i wouldnt have complained. It made me super nostalgic, reminded me of when i was a kid growing up in the 80s .

So bad is really that girl i really which that bep would produce more songs similar to that song, overall i think all StayC releases so far are good bep did a good job at giving them their own identity

Yes! The taste! ASAP was so good that I listened to it multiple times a day for probably more than a month. The power it holds. It's the perfect amount of cutesy for me. Not so cutesy that it feels infantilizing, but enough so that it still looks cute. Have a great day/night!

Same here. ASAP and its praising in some thread here is what drew me into paying closer attention to STAYC

But I'll go and give the other 2 songs another listen, to see if I've missed something.

Alright, I went back and gave all 3 songs another listen

So Bad was better than I recalled. I liked the strong vocals, and it had some parts that jumped out, like its chorus, and some unexpected, surprisingly catchy melody progression.

With Stereotype, I really liked the intro, song is nice but it hadn't many parts that jumped out. If I'd have to think of a term that described the song best, it'd be 'gently meandering'.

ASAP, of the 3 songs it had the strongest hook. Pre-chorus is just ok, but chorus is catchy, and its repeating whistle tune is catch af and a real earwurm, it really lifts the song to a higher level. Without it, I would've found So Bad better. Separate from that, I liked the styling in this MV better.

After listening to the songs as they are, this is my ranking:

ASAP > So Bad >>> Stereotype

I have to say Stereotype but all songs absolutely slap

Stereotype made it on my Spotify wrapped which tells you how much I listened to the song. It’s really catchy and fun.

ASAP for me

So bad is more catchy and emotionally stronger than stereotype BUT I listen more stereotype in my everyday life than so bad because so bad is exhausting, like I really like this song but can't listen to it a lot. I can listen to ASAP more times than So bad but I find ASAP to a worst song than stereotype and so bad.

Kepler need to look at ASAP or any StayC' songs if they want a great hybrid of cute-mature song

Why is Asap so low It's by far my favorite Stayc song.

So bad it the only song I like from them and that one was really nice a bit disappointed by their follow ups after the debut song.

Stereotype I'm still bopping to ASAP but Stereotype truly catches my attention more!
