Don't ask why they have such names.
Mary Sue Normalson is just an ordinary woman, but also good-looking.
She isn't very rich, but has the newest smartphone by that company sponsoring this kdrama.
Mary Sue gets a job as an office worker, and meets the super handsome guy called Robert McHottie.
Even though Robert is as scorching hot as a pizza straight out of the oven, he is a jerk.
He doesn't like Mary Sue at first, and is acting cold against her.
Her other co-worker, Steve Nicemann, is also very handsome.
But he is very sweet and kind towards her.
He has a crush on Mary Sue, but doesn't want her to know that.
Then some days later Robert starts to realize that he has feelings for Mary Sue.
But he refuses to admit it, and still acts cold towards her.
Then Mary Sue realizes that she has feelings for Robert.
And both of them pretend not to like one another.
But then one of them confesses their feelings and start dating.
And Steve gets sad and starts listening to "Treat You better" by Shawn Mendes repeatedly.
But Robert's mom is against their relationship.
She wants him to date someone rich instead.
And he ends up getting engaged with Karen von Bish.
He doesn't have any feelings towards his fiancée, but Karen develops feeling towards him.
And she gets jealous when she finds out that he likes Mary Sue.
Mary Sue is sad about Robert being engaged to Karen.
And she feels like the two of them can't be together anymore.
Steve comes over to comfort her.
"You're a really good friend." Mary Sue tells him.
"Do you really think so?" he asks and then adds. "Would you like to be more than friends?"
"Do you mean best friends?"
Steve tries to hold back his tears. "Yes, best friends."
Then he goes home and cries, while listening to Shawn Mendes.
But then Robert breaks the engagement with Karen.
And he goes back to Mary Sue, telling her that he still loves her.
Then they hug and he kisses her forehead.
And these two live happily ever after.
