Is monsta x declining?

  • They are not being talked about yet there’s a huge backlash for calling them Monster X on air.

    :/

They just booked a concert in Germany, they have a film out and they are promoting on the US. One is in mili and one left the group.

    Wake up.

  • People just don’t talk about them here and they still beat their own records. Also take a listen to the dreaming juseyo it is really good.

Yes! If you guys haven't heard it, give it a listen. Here's one of the great songs on it :)

  • theyre pretty established and still rising steadily, which is not an easy feat for a group turning 7

Right? To have some of their best achievements in their 7th year with their leader in the military AND after losing arguably their most popular member? It's pretty amazing. After Wonho left, I remember people being really worried Starship would stick them in the basement. Look at them now. They released two Korean eps and an English lp in 2021. Plus, they had that film, did JIngle Ball, and our going on tour now.

  • I love their music and know them since shortly after they released 'HERO' and really begun to like them as they released th song 'Beautiful' around a year later, but as long I don't personaly find something interesting to look at about them or to share with someone, than I don't write about them. This is the same thing that happens to many other artists I know and listen to.

I think since MX is one of the groups who has not that much specific things to be talked about as like some other groups who do a lot, it creates an illusion for some people, especially non-fans that MX wouldn't make it in Korea. Thats like as if you would only hang around Ariana Grande-stans and would think Justin Bieber begins to decline.

If the one or other MX-stan would join AKP it might change and you will find more content on them. A lot of the time people don't bother to post on groups they like, because the fandom doesn't gives a fuck about AKP and so people think that if they engage with content outside of the 'Big 3' or Hybe, that it would be super bad thats why there are so many people with let's say profilepictures of idols from many companies but only talk about the most famous groups, because they simple don't feel it would be usefull to talk on a smaller artist or someone who has not much fans on AKP since the majority of people will ignore them for whatever reason at the end.

    So yeah ...

  • oh, so they've added tour stops? I'm going next month here! I also saw the movie in the theater. It was very cool.

Are you going in the states?

I think so far only Frankfurt.

I will try to see if I can see it online, the movie. They have a lot going for them I think - movies etc❤️

Yes, I'm going to their shows in California and Arizona.

After the movie was shown in theaters, it was made available streaming on livexlive. I don't think it is though, but I'm sure it will end up on YouTube or something later :)

  • ifan community seemed to pass them by in 2019, they just hit 400k for the first time this year and even with shownu enlisted so they arent necessarily declining. They aren't growing enough to compete with younger groups and their seniority/us charting isnt enough to get them on awards shows anymore. I would say they are stagnant but not declining yet

  • You like A.C.E

    Me too👍

It’s a long tour in the US!!!

    How big are the venues?

  • They seem like Nuest, Fromis 9, and the Boyz, well known in Korean Kpop circles but not talked about on Western SM anymore.

I only know Monsta X because of Wonho and because of Sakura.
