Koreans are calling for BTS' exemption AGAIN after their AMA wins

tbh this is not a topic where us non koreans arguing about will change anything, this is up to SK and their laws . enlistment or exemption, ppl just have to accept it and move on.

The government knows how important BTS is for Korea. BTS are their biggest soft power. People are slowly starting to realise it as well. BTS will get an exemption. It is just about time.

I'm the kind that think is a bad idea for them to not enlist, but maybe they can actually get the exemption without killing their carreers.

In my opinion, I believe it's no longer a question of IF but it's a now matter of WHEN the announcement is going to take place.

They should have go already and would be coming back next year, idk why they make such a big deal of it

They serve as ambassadors and envoys of the Korean government already. That is plenty of service

this doesn't make any sense. why would only 1-3 members enlist? if it's taboo to exempt them koreans would look down upon the members who didn't serve. they will all be exempt or none of them.

im not rlly sure why you think someone trying to evade the military unlawfully is the same as someone getting granted exemption directly from the gov. the guy who was banned from entering sk again purposefully got u.s citizenship right before his time to serve so that he could evade the military. if bts didn't go bc they receive an exemption, the reaction wouldnt be anywhere near the same as that
