JISOO
Q: What was the first impression you had after reading the script of <Snowdrop>?
A: I got the script before the audition, and the character I was assigned to was called Youngro was very attractive. Even though she has just turned 20, I think the power of attracting people that Youngro possesses has been transmitted to me as well. And I thought it was really cool to see her grow up slowly, even though she was clumsy.Q: What was your experience filming for the drama? It's the first film in which you participated in the lead role.
A: I spent a long time with many people while participating in this work. Through this drama, I was able to take a closer look at the person I am.Q: I can feel the sincerity of the character Youngro. How did you feel about acting?
A: I tried to focus on expressing the just and good side of Youngro. Talking about the movie with the director also helped me a lot. The director wanted Youngro to show her bouncy charm and consideration for others. When I became a young woman, I tried to think young and act young. Youngro is still young and needs trial and error. I think I acted with the hope that people would care for and understand Young-ro that much.Q: What do you think are the similarities between Youngro and Jisoo? I think there must be a point where you feel free while playing this character. You're a very righteous person, as I said.
A: Young-ro is a person who delivers bright energy among people and tries to make everyone have fun. I think I'm similar in my efforts among people. Attracting everyone to go together without giving up, this is something I should learn.Q: It's been quite a while since the shooting was done in advance. Nevertheless, I think there will be a scene in the drama that remains in your head until now.
A: Actually, the last scene of the last meeting is the most memorable. This is a secret, so I can't tell you right now. (Laughs) Please check the last episode later.Q: You participated in this work while working with BLACKPINK. Was it difficult to immerse yourself in the work?
A: Youngro and Jisoo live in very different worlds, so there was no confusion. Besides, from the moment I arrived at the drama set, everyone treated me as Youngro, not Jisoo. Thanks to this, I was able to fully focus on Young-ro, so I was very grateful to the staff.Q: Debuting as a singer at a young age is challenging for a new genre like this. What is the 'center' that keeps you steady?
A: Above all else, I think the most important thing is not to lose ‘me’. As long as you don't lose yourself, no matter what difficulties you face, you won't be shaken. And I believe that when I am strong, I can take better care of the people around me. We've been receiving a lot of love since our debut. I think I need to be more alert to repay that love.Q: What are the strengths of actor Jisoo in your opinion?
A: The advice that many people gave me during the filming helped me a lot. The process of learning and getting to know something was a fun experience for me. That's why I was always smiling. I think my greatest strength is not giving up, not getting frustrated, smiling and working hard.Q: The support of BLACKPINK members gave you a lot of strength throughout the shoot, right?
A: The members said they would definitely watch the live broadcast. Even during filming, they contacted me so often, so they always supported me. The members were so curious, so I got stronger and worked harder.Q: How are you planning to watch the first broadcast? It's the first step of the actor's Jisoo.
A: Actually, I'm not confident to watch it with anyone. I want to watch it alone at home, but I don't know what will happen. I think I can watch it through the tiny gap between my fingers with my eyes covered. -
