Girl group get a lot of criticisms , sometimes kpop fans downgrade their achievements, their songs get called flop more than bg. When they break record or achieve something other fans put it down . tbh misogynistic is in everywhere(in almost every industry) and I know how kpop can be misogynistic but to see it coming form kpop fans is disappointing and I'm talking about ifans not kfans I feel like misogynistic in kfans different than ifans .

Until now, unfortunately, the opinion "a woman is worse, weaker and has no right to be successful" thrives in some cultures. the funniest thing is that it's mostly women who pull down ggs in favor of male idols. like for real. disgusting. luckily this year and next will finally be a golden year for ggs, and i'm very happy about it.

I think both gender got downgraded by a lot. It will feel worse when it’s your faves. That’s human nature.

i think it has to do with the groups that are popular here
twice, aespa, bp and itzy all have huge fandoms here, and while bp recently got the "bigger than twice" title, before it was something along the lines of:
twice (korea and japan) vs bp (rest of the world)and then they'd fight about which achievements carry more weight
now it's more along the lines of
bp (rest of the world + korea)
>>>twice (rest of the world but less than bp) vs aespa (korea)
and also
itzy (rest of the world but less than bp and twice) vs aespa (korea)
once in a while bp will be dragged in for the recent solos (but solos from active groups almost never do better than the group itself) but otherwise after their 1.5M or 1.7M album sales (dunno which one is right) and fantastic charting, they're mostly left out of gg vs gg fights.
meanwhile, with boy groups, bts has a clear victory over everyone else in everything and seventeen doesn't have a very big fandom here at all so there's not that many svt vs nct. exo has been long dead so their fans have nothing to fight to prove. i have seen txt vs skz, but the txt fans here mostly seem to be multis and armies and are busy with their other faves.
but it is true that women are judged harshly compared to men in most cases in kpop
