Outta My Head vs. Watermelon. Which Somi written/composed song do you prefer?

    I love both songs. But I still gotta go with Outta My Head. That song is magical. But Watermelon proved to me that it wasn't a fluke and Somi has the talent to be an amazing composer/writer going forward. Been listening the hell out of Watermelon as well as the new songs on the album.

    I would have picked "Outta My Head" if the production during the chorus hit right like the verse and pre-chorus. The vocal itself is def. better. "Watermelon" flows in a way that keeps me engaged throughout the whole song.


    I think it is interesting how "Watermelon" vocally draws from the 2000's girl groups with a mix of R'N'B and Pop and how "Love To Hate Me" builds onto it with stronger Hip-Hop elements:

    You know what, I was thinking of "Love to Hate Me" as soon as I heard the first few seconds of "Watermelon." Good thinking.

    I don’t follow Somi at all (loved Birthday when it came out tho), but Watermelon instantly drew my attention when I heard it. Actually really love it and playlisted. Outta My Head’s pretty good as well. She needs to compose all of her own songs at this point.
