I'm a literal teacher. I'm don't know about humility but you definitely have to be atleast empathetic towards your students to survive this profession. I'd be failing 90% of my class simply because of their lack of reading comprehension but I still have to give considerations.

I am not a teacher, but I think humility is not a quality a teacher should have. It is a feeling that a monk or a religious person should have. A teacher should have only patience and intelligence.
